Most Lego enthusiasts in LUG community based forums say it could be a good source of bricks, plates and tiles. 35£ is actually cheap for a 480 pcs set, even with such small parts. If the people whining about the price were more familiar with average Lego set's prices they'd realize it's actually quite cheap for a licensed set.
Maybe because we're used to adding an "s" when there's more than one of something to pluralize it, nah.
LEGO never uses s to pluralize it, in the same way you never pluralize fish using s or any other letter.

Well sure if you think of it as getting those types of bricks cheaper then it is a good deal but they are selling it as Lego MINECRAFT, for a minecraft Lego set its pretty shit.
Seems completely dump.
The blocks should be larger and textured, I can't imagine having much fun with a 'micro world', as in, it serves no purpose other than sit there, whereas with the cars and Lego figures you could more or less play out scenarios.
In fact, it was a bit silly of Lego to introduce their fans, that pay a huge amount of money to Lego, to Minecraft, which is basically the same principle, except virtual, and costs much less.
You could hold that fucking thing in your hand. I guess that makes it more convenient for when you decide to throw it at something after realizing you just wasted $35 on it.

Basically, because we use the word Lego as a mass noun, to us "Legos" sounds retarded. It's just jarring when people use a well known word differently.
Imagine if a group of people decided that they would use the word "sand" as the name for a grain of sand. They would call a pile of sand, "sands".
"I'm going to fill this up with sands", "All I can see are sands", "There's too many sands in this soil", etc.
That's just a little bit strange, but I think with Lego, the added emotional connection of being a toy we grew up with adds to the weirdness for us.
