you don't NEED to fucking provide evidence of why murder is bad.
youre missing the point bro
you don't NEED to fucking provide evidence of why murder is bad.
what the fuck are you on?
[editline]12:17AM[/editline]
Ok, second fucking person to assume that: "oh hay, he thinks something pretty fucking well established and BLATANTLY obvious shouldn't be questioned, NOTHING should be questioned hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
You are misintepreting our posts, friend. We are merely stating that we should question our motives and the nature of why we choose to act. Due to our, self-created ethics, murder is unjust. I'm not denying the existence of said morals, I am stating that we must question why morals were created. They are not a biological invention, as you seem to vehemently believe. They are creations of the self, for the self, based on influence and inference from outside sources.
I think what Just Extreme means is that you don't get rights from the invisible sky magician, if you want them then you have to be prepared to take them?. Because really, if Obama decided tomorrow that all civil rights in America would be curtailed and the populace put under martial law, what do you think would happen?
'Hurp-a-derp. I'ma cool maverick because I don't need religion and all the other 6 billion people on the Earth are below me because I'm an atheist.'
you do realize there's 1.1 billion atheists/agnostics in the world right
and 2.2 billion christians
so for every 2 christians there is an atheist/agnostic
learn more about the world before saying things like this thanks
I think what Just Extreme means is that you don't get rights from the invisible sky magician, if you want them then you have to be prepared to take them?.
no he's just being a facist
Because really, if Obama decided tomorrow that all civil rights in America would be curtailed and the populace put under martial law, what do you think would happen?
um are you one of those people that think obama is in the illuminati
This is more retarded than banning the mosque that was going to be built remotely near Ground Zero.
um are you one of those people that think obama is in the illuminati
No, I used him as an example because he's the current president of America and most people who read this are Americans, thus they could relate to it easier.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
so deconstructing and trying to justify breaches of this established order is now just a way to figure out where these ideas come from? lolno
Who's justifying them? I don't kill because I don't want to be killed and I assume others don't and I can empathize with others so we have a mutual "don't fucking kill people that's a dick move agreement." It's an unspoken thing.
If the established order is correct and the ethics you hold are objective (they aren't) then I should reasonably be able to rederive them through good logic should I not? What are you so afraid of considering the root of ethics for?
[editline]08:05PM[/editline]
you don't NEED to fucking provide evidence of why murder is bad.
what the fuck are you on?
And yet you did earlier, imagine that
Ok, second fucking person to assume that: "oh hay, he thinks something pretty fucking well established and BLATANTLY obvious shouldn't be questioned, NOTHING should be questioned hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
NOTHING should not be questioned. You are honestly calling people fascist and then telling them not to question the established order, correct though it may be.
IF THE THINGS SOCIETY HOLDS TO BE TRUE ARE, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR IN PEOPLE TRYING TO DETERMINE WHY THEY ARE TRUE
[editline]08:11PM[/editline]
I'm not defending JustExtreme btw, I think he's an angsty 13-year-old misanthrope who is trying to be Lil' Machiavelli
Nothing good will come out of this...
But then again, no matter if WWIII breaks out because of this, Sweden will always remain neutral :v:
I must have read a different Quran.
Yeah you probably did. In college they had us read a different version that cuts out the ending chapters for whatever reason. Try to reread the full version.
except to queers, your wife, your daughter, your slave and inferior races and religions.
hurp
btw, you can NOT negate the old testament if you are Christian.
Which is a good reflection of society's customs back then. A lot of those customs haven't really changed until recently. Although, some cultures were a lot different. Like in Greece, everyone was gay.
I don't think most Christians ignore the old testament, I think they just interpret it different than Jews do. They also put a lot more focus on Jesus, forgiveness, and the new testament. A lot of people attribute this to St. Augustine.
This guy is a total idiot. He is going to attack a religion, even though he doesn't (and doesn't even want to) know about what it actually is like? :downsbravo:
What's worse is that they're holding this Quran BBQ thing on 9/11. I mean, seriously. They're absolutely looking for attention.
[editline]02:11AM[/editline]
This is more retarded than banning the mosque that was going to be built remotely near Ground Zero.
Its not a traditional mosque per se. More like an Islamic cultural center with a prayer hall. The aim behind its construction is to bridge religious and cultural gaps, create tolerance and increase understanding between different faiths and Islam. Its called "Cordoba House", and it was overwhelmingly approved by the City board.
It would be fun to protest this event dressed as a Nazi.
That said, it's frightening to see how many people in this thread actually condone the burning of religious books. You're not a very good atheist if you support the destruction of some of the most important parts of human history and culture, regardless of whether or not you believe in their theistic message.
Good wholesome fun for the whole christian family!
This makes me sick.
Eh, as long as the Jews aren't dragged into this, I'm fine, they've had enough to deal with over the years.
You're not a very good atheist if you support the destruction of some of the most important parts of human history and culture, regardless of whether or not you believe in their theistic message.
You say that like Atheists are supposed to be some sort of Lawful Good symbol of all that is right or something. There are no rules for being an atheist, so no one can be a "good atheist" or a "bad atheist."
Either half the people in this thread are trolls, or you guys seriously think religion is some kind of evil platform for hate to spread.
You say that like Atheists are supposed to be some sort of Lawful Good symbol of all that is right or something. There are no rules for being an atheist, so no one can be a "good atheist" or a "bad atheist."
I mean it in the way of being a respectful and decent human being.
well no loss tbh
as long as all religions finally disappear, i won't really care if they kill each other.
Well killing each other is not needed.. but you guys get what i mean.
EDIT: Rate me dumb all you want, your religion will dissipate eventually, and so will your so called god :P
Then just destroy all forms of governments and make our existence self-sustainable
there
I hope you realise that buy them "Killing each other" means a lot of trouble for Everybody. Not just people who are religious.
I mean it in the way of being a respectful and decent human being.
That doesn't make them a bad atheist, that makes them a bad person.
lol cool
A religion showing intolerance towards another religion? Oh my.
Also isn't book burning illegal?
Evangelicals are against it? Shit just got real
Guys
lets turn up and publicly burn the bible across the street. Then the Jewish Book.
This is why Christians are hated.
Also isn't book burning illegal?
No.
JustExtreme is a Neo-Fascist you see.
He's stupid and he contradicts everything he says/suggests/thinks. Just like the real Fascists.
Yeah, obviously, oh yeah.
[editline]05:29PM[/editline]
Questioning why we don't kill is good?
[editline]12:05AM[/editline]
fine, this shit is covered in the collective of royal prerogative's

Questioning why we don't kill is good?
Yeah, actually. Just blindly believing in not killing without first questioning it, investigating it and developing your own opinion is a not a very good idea.
Everything should be questioned rather than followed blindly.

It is pretty much what I meant actually, mr 'hurr durr lets call everybody who doesn't agree with me a fascist without bothering to think'
A religion showing intolerance towards another religion? Oh my.

Why would it be illegal it's paper and cardboard.
Tell you what will help international relations... :downs:

Airborn burning flakes of paper floating everywhere.

There's a big difference between investigating the roots of ethics and denying ethics exist and therefore people need to earn the their rights, which is fascist, which is what you're doing
so therefor:
you're a fascist.
Airborn burning flakes of paper floating everywhere.
Which burn up really fast.
Ive got no problem with people following a religion, hell, its done a lot more good than bad over time. But when it gets to this sort of paranoid fundamentalism, people should really step in.
and its a fire hazard.
