I'm sorry but if you try to force others to learn your religion or try to stop them from worshiping their own you need to be shot As long as the practices don't harm anyone, keep out of other people's shit

That's pretty fucked up and completely backwards from what christians should be doing, I know I'll be flooded with dumbs but I'm Anglican Catholic, which is one of the few not-batshit-insane church sects. I find most modern/popular sects pretty far out there, like the Pope being infallible (no) or "if you aren't my religion and my sect you're going to hell" (no) NOBODY should go out of their way to start shit, whether that's a church burning holy books, a religion that swears to kill anyone that makes a stick figure and gives it a specific name, or atheists derailing internet threads (I know this thread is about religion but seriously half the threads on FP get destroyed by religious arguments) [editline]03:03AM[/editline]
Ive got no problem with people following a religion, hell, its done a lot more good than bad over time. But when it gets to this sort of paranoid fundamentalism, people should really step in. and its a fire hazard.
You are a smart man.
Jesus is facepalming so hard right now. Even Satan.
Nah, satan is too busy having fun in hell, think about it, almost every single interesting person(and people of other religions) are in hell, must be a party with all those musicians etc.
/late as fuck arguing whether or not rights actually "exist" (in the sense that they're handed down to us by nature or skywizards) is silly in the first place because it's relatively obvious that rights are not inexorable; if they were, you wouldn't be able to take them away. rights may not exist by basic nature but they do exist in the sense that they're human-created concepts, but they're subjective, so you can argue that i don't have the right to freedom of religion and i can argue that i do and in a setting where there isn't anything signifying whether or not i have that right, we're both right (or wrong, however you wanna phrase that is cool). however, while they are subjective insofar as that they vary depending on where you are, the law governs what set of rights are "lawful" rights and therefore, if my country prohibits freedom of religion, i am wrong, whereas if my country supports freedom of religion, you're wrong. rights in and of themselves are just basic human privileges; to deny them is to infringe on the "freedom" of others but in cases where someone doesn't regard that as morally wrong (you could point fingers to dictatorships here too but what comes to mind here are instances in which denying a right actually protects you from others infringing on your pre-established rights while in the same sense prohibits you from infringing on theirs) or just doesn't care, rights mean nothing. does this mean rights are wrong? shit no. rights kick ass. especially that one that says i can have guns. hell yeah. god bless america. love ya jesus. :911: anyway, i hope westboro baptist church learns from these guys and adopts burning shit into their protests. WBC could like, burn bottles of K-Y Jelly or copies of justin bieber's "My World 2.0" CD at gay protests or something. it's just that the whole "5 guys show up with thank god for 9/11 posters" shtick is getting kind of boring.
Muslims burn the bible so why can't they burn the quarn. Biast racism ftl.
The video is Fucking Hilarious
"Islamic lawl."
Which burn up really fast.
still hot.
its a fire hazard

and its a fire hazard.
Not really no. Not if you do it correctly.
Do you expect them to do it right?
Muslims burn the bible so why can't they burn the quarn. Biast racism ftl.
Nono, if you're a minority you can do anything you want and we won't raise a fuss over it or we're the racists. But ALLAH FORBID a white Christian man speak his opinion on MY Islam! I'm off to strap some bombs to children, see you guys later
Do you expect them to do it right?
These are Christians. They've burnt a lot of books in their times.
well no loss tbh as long as all religions finally disappear, i won't really care if they kill each other. Well killing each other is not needed.. but you guys get what i mean. EDIT: Rate me dumb all you want, your religion will dissipate eventually, and so will your so called god :P Then just destroy all forms of governments and make our existence self-sustainable there
You realize that without religion, science is blind? Vice versa, too.
You realize that without religion, science is blind? Vice versa, too.
And in your language, science means...?
Oh religion. You so crazy.
There's a big difference between investigating the roots of ethics and denying ethics exist and therefore people need to earn the their rights, which is fascist, which is what you're doing so therefor: you're a fascist.
‎Each individual person who is capable of thinking for themselves generates his/her own hierarchy of values and judges everything based on his/her own standards. These may or may not be derived from the moral or ethical views of others that they agree with. The concept of ethics being set in stone and the same for everyone is ridiculous. Good and bad, right and wrong, etc. all fluctuate in meaning depending on perception and it is very fair to say that nobody has exactly the same perception of things. I do think that some rights/privileges should be earned although much of them that are implemented in civilised nations do make sense and do work. I may have sounded like I was advocating the taking away of the alleged 'freedom of speech' a lot of our species seems to think that we have and jack themselves off over but really what I intended to project was that regulations need to be put in place for it to work. There are regulations in place now even in those countries that supposedly have complete 'freedom of speech'. Whether my views are fascist or not, I don't find the label fascist offensive so take that word and take it behind the back of the bike shed where you can make love to it in peace. See you back on the playground, remember to wash your hands after that dirty deed!

I mean who cares, it's the equivalent of calling someone else a name- but on a larger scale. If they're big men they'll ignore these guys, or if not- then well it's on them.
Muslims burn the bible? [editline]08:34PM[/editline] I'm done, if that's not fucking Fascist and plain evil, I don't know what is.
It is ridiculous to think that ethics are the same for everyone. Regulations on the 'freedom of speech' are currently in place in all countries that claim to have it. Fascist or not, regulations on 'freedom of speech' are currently implemented and serve a purpose. That is what I mean by regulations, those akin to what is currently in place but perhaps changed a bit as they aren't 'free' enough in my opinion. Hows the lovemaking? That word seems to be taking quite a bit of it. How was what I said fascist? Do you even know what fascist means? 'evil' is a relative term. It may be 'evil' to you but to someone else it may not be. Wow, I see you're a grown up, your swearing is impressive. I find it amusing how you don't understand that values and ethics differ between people due to perception and label the idea as fascist. Again, do you even know what the word means?
It's their right to burn whatever they want. Can't see why that's a hate crime. No one was physically hurt and no one's rights were violated.

It's the only place where idiocy can be this concentrated.
It's their right to burn whatever they want. Can't see why that's a hate crime. No one was physically hurt and no one's rights were violated.
>racist islamaphobe defending racism and islamaphobia >what else is new
>racist islamaphobe defending racism and islamaphobia >what else is new
Can't see what's the problem. It's peoples' right to express their opinions, whether racist or not, and burn any book they want.
It's their right to burn whatever they want. Can't see why that's a hate crime. No one was physically hurt and no one's rights were violated.
Because it's the fucking motive. A white guy can kill a black guy, not a hate crime until you take into account their motive, standard murder if he just hated the guy, hate crime if he killed him because of skin colour or racism. This is a hate crime, flat out.
Because it's the fucking motive.
It is ridiculous to think that ethics are the same for everyone.
The structure of society creates laws which apply to everyone
Regulations on the 'freedom of speech' are currently in place in all countries that claim to have it.
so therefor it's right?
Fascist or not, regulations on 'freedom of speech' are currently implemented and serve a purpose.
Hows the lovemaking? That word seems to be taking quite a bit of it. How was what I said fascist? Do you even know what fascist means? 'evil' is a relative term. It may be 'evil' to you but to someone else it may not be.
Regulating free speech and putting a price on freedom and individual rights is shit Italian syndicalists did.
Wow, I see you're a grown up, your swearing is impressive.
I've never met a person who has matured past angsty goth phase try to argue that people don't deserve rights unless they earn them/freedom needs regulation. Regulating freedoms have hurt many people in history and is never necessary.
But they aren't hurting anyone physically doing that, they are just expressing their opinions.
Still a hate crime dude. What if a skinhead went up to a black guy and started shouting "Fucking niggers, they're all fucking sub human scum and should be clapped in fucking irons again, god bless the white race!!" He's not saying anything specifically to the black dude, still intimidating him. It's the same shit here, it's fucking retarded and causes unnecessary friction between people who have to live side by side. Want an example of what this shit can cause? Go read about the troubles in northern Ireland, I guaran-fucking-tee if this sort of shit becomes common place, you will have a repeat of them.

I don't think that freedom of speech should be limited unless there is a case of incitement to a violent act/theft/a crime that violated someone else's rights.
People have the right to safety. Going around shouting intimidating racial slurs or committing acts that are clearly fucking provocative to a group of people violate that right. Also Slander.
