Gaming houses are very much a thing. I don't follow tons of e-sports but I know for a fact League of Legends teams have gaming houses. Can't speak for certain on other games though.

Esports are a fucking joke, it's impossible to find a single high level event or team that's not corrupted as fuck.

Hope it sorts itself out because it has potential but as it stands now it's pretty much worthless on an entertainment and ethical standard.

Dota2 hasn't had any open or even suspected corruption since TI4, and even then it was a Chinese team who threw every game in group stages so they effected nothing

I host competitions which get shown on CSGOLounge and can categorically say that they are not rigged. If there is any sort of rigging involved all parties are banned immediately.
