The only good part of the original was the customization. I hope they rework the vehicles and gameplay, to, you know, make it playable.
I have zero hope for this game now. It makes me very sad, the game was fine before it went down. And now I'll have to pay extra to make my character look like it did before (most likely). :smith:
These are the same people who own WarRock.
But it's better than letting all of this potential go to waste.
Why god. Why did someone have to resurrect this shitty game?

They should make a singleplayer mode like with Hellgate (Dunno much about this game and I am guessing that there is no SP mode)

That's how it is with most MMOs, the "no SP" thing. Having an SP mode kinda defeats the point of an MMO...

Pay to win.
From reading various interviews with gamersfirst it sounds like they plan to let you pay to rent guns or play the game unlock them and keep the guns.
I don't mind micro-transactions as long they don't give you anything that ruins the game, if they do have it so you can rent guns instead of unlocking them then i am fine with that. I also wouldn't mind if they charged money to buy items like additional clothing or character slots.
it was absolute shit and they robbed their customers of $50 and gamersfirst will turn it into worse shit
Huh, on the other thread where the rumor was posted everyone was saying that they should let it die. Now the rumor is confirmed people are happy for it. What is going on.

Incase of things like this
Lets pray that they wont screw it up like Champion online where you have to pay to get access to whatever abilities you want.
Ex, they want money for custom clothes and limited access to places you went to in the beta.
:psyduck:
RPS says second half of next year
APBforum says first half
Should be fun
Yay
An interesting interview with GamersFirst's Bjorn Book-Larsson on why to revive APB. http://www.examiner.com/pc-game-in-national/interview-gamersfirst-s-bjorn-book-larsson-why-revive-apb
It gives a hints of what they plan to do, the following two answers are particualry interesting:

What are some examples of things that APB did wrong?
Bjorn: The balance was terrible. Character progression, for example, included weapon upgrades, which basically translated into veteran players slaughtering new players.
Now progression is translated to rich players slaughtering other players

oops. and it wont let me edit it either...
I really dont care if theres some paying, what mmo doesnt have that? And this game was pretty amazing im glad its getting a second chance.
As long as they crunch the bugs its all good.
Being free to play automatically gives it a better score.
Maybe now I'll play this.

I strongly disagree.
This also means a likely ingame item store. Noooo.

Gamersfirst automatically means an ingame item store
In-game store or not, the main thing is that APB is back and is no longer dead :buddy:

I think I'm just gonna play this for the customizing part
