You realize that the vast majority of the commandments have to do with bullshit we don't condone anymore, right? You think the idea of not-murder came from the fucking Bible?
I never said it didn't. I never said all the commandments are relevant. But there is a law against murdering in most countries, so the 6th comandment is relevant.
I never said it didn't. I never said all the commandments are relevant. But there is a law against murdering in most countries, so the 6th comandment is relevant.
No it isn't.
Well I for one think it's a good idea. I just don't see why it couldn't have been studied along with Moby Dick, Little Women and other classic pieces of fiction.

Because according to the WORD THY GOD, the word of GOD is the only WORD that matters, and all other forms of writing are LIES unto THE WORD THY GOD...
:argh: To be honest, I wouldn't have been at all shocked if this law required that the Bible and ONLY the bible be taught in school. That's just how backwards some of the people in East Texas are. My old High School is making "Bible Ed" a mandatory class. another reason for me to burn that place down.
And Athiests dont? FUUUCK am i the only one on this forum who thinks the athiests here are like catholics trying to push they're bullshit down you're throat because they outnumber you 10 to 1?
execept we don't spew bullshit, we spew facts.
execept we don't spew bullshit, we spew facts.
oh god help them atheists is thrown big words at meh

I don't think this much effected American government. Sorry.
Except for the phenomena it discusses creating all current life on earth?
I find it funny that christians say the US was found on christian morals. (the founding fathers were realists)
stone the nonbeliever! thou shall not kill does not apply to infiedels!
Or disobedient children, Yep, Says so in the Bible
execept we don't spew bullshit, we spew facts.
To be fair sometimes we spew facts arrogantly but facts nontheless
No it isn't.
Yes it is. [editline]10:40PM[/editline]
execept we don't spew bullshit, we spew facts.
Like F=MA Or a dropped object falls in a perfect spiral. Or ether.
There's nothing wrong with making kids read The Bible. It may be boring as fuck, but the kids don't have to believe in it. /thread
Then why not any other religious scripture? [thread]
What's wrong with other scripture? They can make kids read that too, just as long as they don't force kids to believe in any of it, it's fine. (By the way, I am atheist)
They want to combat religious extremist with religious extremist. Also, the Bible is the worlds biggest shit book of impossible stories and violence. Seriously, how the fuck does fire come out of the sky to destroy 2 Roman legions.
But they aren't. It is still illegal to teach the others but not the Bible.
Well maybe if we nuked Texas, the world would be a better place, am I right?

The story is inconsistent, and it goes through numerous dramatic tonal changes between chapters. The moral is confusing, the writing is haphazard, and it never seems to really begin or end. Not to mention the characters have no persisting personality whatsoever, even the main character seems to have no real motivation for anything he does, or otherwise no consistent way of approaching things. On top of all this, it ended on a cliff hanger. Overall, I give The Bible a 2 out of five.
How did the Bible end?
I'm serious.

atheism is gay
atheism is gay
:'(
How did the Bible end?
It doesn't. The writer ran out of money and they shoe horned in a fan made ending later on.
:'(
Do you have a problem with gays you intolerant Christian?
Do you have a problem with gays you intolerant Christian?
I'm an atheist
I'm a atheist
An atheist who hates gays? That makes me sad :C
An atheist who hates gays? That makes me sad :C
No, I'm a-okay with gays. My feelings just got hurt devastatingly cause he used gay as in "this shit sucks" gay :(
I'm a atheist
AN! IT'S FUCKING AN. 'A' IS WHAT YOU SAY BEFORE A WORD STARTING WITH A CONSONANT, 'AN' IS WHAT YOU SAY BEFORE A WORD STARTING WITH A VOWEL. GET IT RIGHT. Sorry, I can only see people make that mistake X number of times before I fucking snap. Carry on.
