Uh-oh. I sense a NY Pizza vs Chicago Pizza argument coming along...
If you mean "I sense a NY pizza is clearly superior to Chicago pizza in every possible way discussion" then yeah.
If you mean "I sense a NY pizza is clearly superior to Chicago pizza in every possible way discussion" then yeah.
Seeing as Chicago pizza is nearly always 3 miles of cheese with just as much sauce on top of that, there was never really an argument to begin with.
I think my head just exploded
you're telling me you don't enjoy a soft cheese stuffed crust? my head is gonna explode too now thanks
my head is gonna explode too now thanks
Is there melty cheese inside?
mozarella filled, only the best for my head
By this post alone I can tell you've never tried it. If you do get around to eating it, just a hint in proper etiquette, you must use a fork and knife to eat it.
You'd be laughed at doing that here in Scotland.
i like pizza, any pizza. favorite is mozarella
You'd be laughed at doing that here in Scotland.
for eating something out of a chippy? yeah, sure. but really deep dish pizzas aren't meant to be eaten by hand
So how much crap do you jam onto the surface of a pizza before it stops being a pizza and becomes some kind of mutant casserole? (btw, free pizza = best pizza)
How odd, I literally have just made pizza from scratch. I also made pizza last week when I was testing a new dough recipe. I personally like it very thin, some sauce, cheese, mushrooms, spinach, basil. The best thing is these pizzas cost me 30p each.
Recipeeee
Come to chicago and eat a pizza, and then good luck topping that experience.
i've had legit chicago deep dish i prefer digiornos
Recipeeee
Dough; Cup of strong bread flour, cup of semolina flour, teaspoon of salt, table spoon of yeast, half a cup or so of warm water with a table spoon of sugar, 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. When I made the pizza base I use a table spoon of coarse cornmeal and coarse semolina and sprinkle on both sides. Tomato base; small onion, stick of celery, two carrots, anchovy, 3 garlic gloves, tablespoon of tomato purée, two tins of tomatoes, tins worth of water to clean the cans of any remaining tomato juice inside, oregano, basil, parsley. I then blended just about all of it but left some bits to add texture, I then let it simmer for a hour and a half (this is why I put the tins worth of water in to allow it to reduce to the consistency I want)

I personally prefer thick, soft crust, with mushroom, pepper, onion, olives, and tomato. Spinach sounds good too, I'll have to try that.
man, you guys are missing out. I pity everyone in this thread, Canadian cottage country pizza is the best. How good? Normally there's a one hour wait for just one shop. Freshly grown everything, so there's true flavor. Even when the things are lukewarm it's still awesome.
Pizza is like sex; when its good, its really good And when its bad, it's still kinda good.
stuffed crust pizza is best pizza, no matter the location and place that makes it everyone else is lying
I like New York pizza AND Chicago pizza. They're both really good.
I don't even fucking know what NY and Chicago styles are supposed to be Never ever heard anyone say anything close to it in my country either
Come to chicago and eat a pizza, and then good luck topping that experience.
american pizzas are essentially savory pies. A good italian crust on the other hand....
Papa John's is best John's. I mean pizza.
Hawaiian Pizza with stuffed crust. That or philly cheese steak pizza.
Papa John's is best John's. I mean pizza.
While I can't speak for Papa John's as there aren't any here I can say I've never had a quality pizza from a franchise store.
Um, excuse me, this is science. And science isn't subjective. What if people were like "the level of gravity in any given area is subjective". We would never have gone to the moon.
No, just no. That's a completely retarded comparison.
While I can't speak for Papa John's as there aren't any here I can say I've never had a quality pizza from a franchise store.
Well to be more specific, it's one of the better franchises. They really are delicious. Fox's Pizza is alright too, it's kind of like the McDonald's of pizzerias I guess.. Cheap-tier but tasty as far as pizza pies go.
Wow another article trying to surge interest just by vaguely mentioning science sounding shit
the fuck is a scone
awesome things that you put jam and cream in [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c3/Scones_Jam_Cream.jpg[/t] you've never lived until you've had a cornish-style cream tea.
Tuna, onions, artichoke and sliced tomatoes together with the base on a pizza is amazing.
There are probably thousands of combinations of pizzas, if you really just eat one kind pizza and say everything else is terrible and the people who eat it are fools you are missing out. Mix it up.

I tried Pizza Hut and it was really meh (we have it here though, never really liked it too much), Domino's was worse, and Little Caesar's was pretty terrible but hey, it was like five bucks for a large pizza.
thin base with puffy crust but none of that stuffing bullshit. Lots of meat but never, EVER mix salami and ham. It's one pig product or the other. Choose.
