It's not about the healthcare being "insulted" we do enough of that ourselves, it's the fact a completely warped view of the NHS was presented, so of course people from the UK are going to post to set the record straight. And yes a lot people from the UK are going to be interested in US politics, since they're so influential on the rest of the world. You say you don't know how politics in the UK works but that's because the UK doesn't affect you. It's not the same the other way round.

Access to free, quality healthcare should be a fundamental human right in first world countries, which have the economy to support it. No one should suffer illness because of poverty. I am perfectly happy paying a good chunk of income in tax to ensure that people have access to that. Maybe America can take a lesson from Europe, because some of the communities in the USA seem to be immersed in third world conditions.

Any sort of public option is going to include funding the healthcare of illegal immigrants with taxpayer dollars.
