America should fucking get an NHS like system , you faggots don't want to pay extra taxes but wait until your insurance expires and you break your back. Who is laughing now?
Ehh, insurance doesn't just expire like old milk as long as you keep paying into it.
Ehh, insurance doesn't just expire like old milk as long as you keep paying into it.
But like old milk, you forget about it till the one day you do want milk, then it gets at you.
But like old milk, you forget about it till the one day you do want milk, then it gets at you.
Yeah, most normal people don't just forget about their insurance.
Yeah, most normal people don't just forget about their insurance.
Define "Normal" my good chum Jonathan.
Define "Normal" my good chum Jonathan.
Normal, as in the average person isn't dumb enough to just forget to keep paying their health care insurance plan. And the insurance company doesn't just terminate your insurance and not tell you if you stop paying them. You're reaching now. There are plenty of good arguments for universal healthcare. Yours is not one of them.
Are you saying that under a single payer system illegals will not be treated if they enter a hospital with a problem?
They will be treated because hospitals cannot deny immediate needs, but they do not currently qualify for government coverage. You need to be a citizen to have the coverage in the current iteration of the plan. Illegal residents will not be helped by this, and that is not on the floor for change. This is not my opinion, this is the fact of the matter. If you want to be pissed at something about that, be pissed about bipartisanship. Who is laughing now?
That's not how it works and you should be ashamed of saying that. Then again your only experience with long-term services is an MMO subscription. Hate to break it to you but filing an insurance claim is not at all like rolling a new paladin for the PVP server.
[QUOTE=Pvt. It's a valid point, but not related to the one he was making.
But like old milk, you forget about it till the one day you do want milk, then it gets at you.
That's like saying you might forget to pay taxes, or eat. Don't criticize what you can't understand.
Don't criticize what you can't understand.
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command.
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command.
Your old road is rapidly aging.
Your old road is rapidly fading.
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand.
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand.
For the times, they are a-changin.
:bravo:
I wonder if anyone's done that.
You'd think photographic evidence would be enough.
For the times, they are a-changin.

:bravo:
Oh you guys :D
:bravo:
:downsbravo:
But that isn't what he was talking about. It's a valid point, but not related to the one he was making.
His point was that you wouldn't get care/care wouldn't be paid for/you'd go into serious debt without insurance, which is true, but it is also true that you will still likely have to pay out of pocket if you are insured. Either way the system is backwards and we shouldn't have private corporations determine whether or not we'll be fucked over for their gain or not. At least in an NHS style system, there's nothing in it financially for the government to deny care.
"Every other developed country in the world has universal healthcare, but we don't. Obviously, our system is better."
"Every other developed country in the world has universal healthcare, but we don't. Obviously, our system is better."
Everyone other developed country in the world drives on the right, but we don't, Obviously our system is better.
Everyone other developed country in the world drives on the right, but we don't, Obviously our system is better.
Stupidest comparison of the year. Congratulations.
Stupidest comparison of the year. Congratulations.
I see your Sarcasm Detector is broken.

I don't see why insurance gets away with it just because they don't sell a tangible good or immediate service. Well, it's in a pre-activated timebomb salesman's best interest to give you what you're paying for.

Why are you complaining? You know there are many non government run hospitals, spend your money there no one is asking you to use national health care.
And we can trust a government overrun by lobbyists for every business imaginable?
Would you trust a corporation with your health any more than the government? Not that you'd even have to trust the government since you'll still be able to buy private insurance regardless of the public option.

The Australian system of healthcare might be better for the US.
