Normal, as in the average person isn't dumb enough to just forget to keep paying their health care insurance plan. And the insurance company doesn't just terminate your insurance and not tell you if you stop paying them. You're reaching now.
There are plenty of good arguments for universal healthcare. Yours is not one of them.

They will be treated because hospitals cannot deny immediate needs, but they do not currently qualify for government coverage. You need to be a citizen to have the coverage in the current iteration of the plan.
Illegal residents will not be helped by this, and that is not on the floor for change.

That's not how it works and you should be ashamed of saying that.
Then again your only experience with long-term services is an MMO subscription. Hate to break it to you but filing an insurance claim is not at all like rolling a new paladin for the PVP server.

His point was that you wouldn't get care/care wouldn't be paid for/you'd go into serious debt without insurance, which is true, but it is also true that you will still likely have to pay out of pocket if you are insured.
Either way the system is backwards and we shouldn't have private corporations determine whether or not we'll be fucked over for their gain or not. At least in an NHS style system, there's nothing in it financially for the government to deny care.

It's in every business' interest to take your money and not give you what you're paying for. I don't see why insurance gets away with it just because they don't sell a tangible good or immediate service.
Well, it's in a pre-activated timebomb salesman's best interest to give you what you're paying for.
