[QUOTE=Wolf_Marine;16658741]Democrats may get more support if they tried two things: 1. Stop trying to force a whole cow into a dog's throat all at once. 2. Stop poking the rattlesnake with their bare hands. Translation: 1. Stop trying to push for instant change from private to government funded health care. The chaos that would result in such a rapid transition would make the project fail on a scale unheard of. 2. Democrats in D.C. have stopped using logic and reason to beat back anti-social health care and have started screaming anyone opposing it as racist and nazis. Calling potential voters like this isn't going to help them win any support for the health bill, which is now divided evenly between average Americans.[/QUOTE] Republicans might get more support if they: 1. Patronizing the populas with misleading bullshit myths put in the for m of ridiculously short lists 2. Stopped trying to be folksy to convince rednecks that you are one of them. Translation: 1. Don't fuck a portly newborn pig in the ear 2. Eat feed out of an oat sachel [editline]12:08AM[/editline] [QUOTE=Lankist;16672675]If we don't give this organization bailouts it will go bankrupt and everyone will lose their jobs and we need to act RIGHT NOW [editline]02:49PM[/editline] And Bipartisanship is not a good thing. Bipartisanship is like when Hitler and Satan agree on something. That something is most assuredly bad. [editline]02:50PM[/editline] Everybody thinks if the Republicans and Democrats agree on something it's absolutely right, but that's a load of shit. If the Republicans and Democrats, two very dirty, money-hording, third-party-shunning, public-hating parties agree on something, you better give that something a closer look. [editline]02:51PM[/editline] And when I say "Public hating" I am referring to the fact that instead of serving like they were the President of the United States, Bush served like he was the President of the Republicans and Obama serves like he's the President of the Democrats. Neither has shown any intention to listen to any other ideology but their own. The "Get On Board" mentality of the Democrats in office right now is a frightening realization of this.[/QUOTE] We elected them because we agree with their ideology. This is why I don't understand why deemocrats continue to form i parisan commisions of equal democrats and republicans instead of just pushing through thier legislation with thier majority because allah knows that what the republicans did.a [editline]12:25AM[/editline] [QUOTE=snuwoods;16673039]Yes, health isn't a right. Nor should the we spend such inordinate amounts of money with such urgency. Obama doesn't mention that the legislation will still have a few years to wait. It will be enacted around 2013. [editline]03:06PM[/editline] I followed it up. You cut my post in half. You dismissed an entire political ideology. I thought that was pretty brazen. People do regard the right.[/QUOTE] Only when they are confused or afraid do most people regard the right today. The republicans goal is to maintain the status quo. Assuming the republicans win a large majority and the presidancy in 2012 we will have flushed 21 trillion dollars down the toilet the time the republicans can put any heath care bill into action in 2015 (based on a US treasury projection of 35 trillion dollars spent on health care over the next ten years). Any political ideology that is okay with that just for the sake of being vindicated is dispicable and does not deserve to be regarded by anyone. I would be equaly upset if the democrats used the same tactics to achieve the same ends, I have very flexable party affiliations but right now the republicans are acting like bullys and the democrats are being pussies.
