Maybe the people in the street should have moved their fuckin asses out of the way to let the car through. It wouldn't have fuckin killed 'em to move over a bit.
can you really just not read? It looks like the guy who opened the door did so as a gag. It did not appear to be a serious attempt at yanking someone out of the car. That is what I was saying.

It almost killed them acting like idiots, that's for sure.
"I was just pretending to try to kidnap your kid! No hard feelings!"
solution: lock your doors, dont drive through a crowd of rambunctious fedorians.
Deafness doesn't affect your driving does it?
Well to be honest... yes.
There's a reason it's illegal to drive wearing headphones. And I've gotten out of a handful of fender-benders by using my horn.
solution: lock your doors, dont drive through a crowd of rambunctious fedorians.
I naturally keep my 2 doors locked always and keep 2 keys on me so this shit doesn't happen
I didn't say anything about the wife opening the door?
I'm just saying if I had to cross a street that had ten million people on it, I would go one fucking block down lmao. (You will understand better when you can drive)
Also holding down your horn at a crowd of people is a prick move no matter how deaf you are.
and when it's for a convention with literally a horde of people it doesn't really count as jwalking m8.
It doesn't look like they had room to turn or go backwards.
You can see through buildings?
I don't think you have to stop for emergency vehicles on the other sides of buildings.
If they're crossing an intersection or turning, then by the time you have to stop, you'll be able to see the lights.
And it's not like emergency vehicles are going full throttle all the time. They do slow down if there's a block of cars they have to maneuver around, or if the light is changing.
Don't most emergency vehicles also have something to change the traffic lights? Because I'm pretty sure most traffic lights have that.
Maybe the people in the street should have moved their fuckin asses out of the way to let the car through. It wouldn't have fuckin killed 'em to move over a bit.
This point cannot be overstated, whilst they could have driven somewhere else, the crowd could've, with even less effort, evacuated.
What did the fuckwit expect trying to drive through a crowd of people?
why didnt they just get the fuck out of the way?
It doesn't look like they had room to turn or go backwards.
.
mate i think it looks more like they didnt have enough room to go forward to me.
solution: lock your doors, dont drive through a crowd of rambunctious fedorians.
Alternatively: Joking about kidnapping kids is never acceptable regardless of context and you're insane if you think otherwise. Parents are idiots, sure, but opening the door and acting like you're gonna take their kids? That's next-level stupidity.
That Dead Island 2 thing tells me this is all viral marketing. It seems like the sort of thing Deep Silver would do.
solution: lock your doors, dont drive through a crowd of rambunctious fedorians.
Is it too much to expect that people don't fuck with your car when you're trying to drive

Yeah, that's why I said what the crowd did was still stupid and immature. But they were preying on a family who was acting like dickheads. Cause and effect in this case. When you act like an asshole in public people get offended.
why didnt they just get the fuck out of the way?
Because apparently you have the right to just stand in the middle of the street and if people don't like it they can just choose another street or something.
Is it too much to expect that people don't fuck with your car when you're trying to drive
while honking through a very large crowd of people? Probably yeah.
Like seriously, do these people have no common courtesy? "Oh hey look this car obviously wants to get through but I'm just gonna stand here like a jackass and hope it vanishes into the ether if I ignore it long enough" "Oh now he's annoyed we ain't moving. Better destroy his property and invade his car!"
Deafness doesn't affect your driving does it?
It can, not being able to have a major sense really can impact that. Plus you cannot hear anything, can not hear emergency vehicles or other drivers or even people. Being able to hear in this situation might have been extremely beneficial. They probably had no idea what was going on and if they could hear they would have been able to find out instead of just trying to push through a massive crowd of people.
Actually I'm gonna try standing in the middle of the street tonight with some friends and if we get questioned about it I'll just reply "No, it's alright, some guy on the internet told me I'm allowed to!"

In my area, traffic signals are on a closed circuit on a per intersection basis due to they don't want to upgrade the infrastructure for them, combine with areas with blind corners it really can cause major problems if you were unable to hear the sirens.

They were constantly moving across the street, you seriously have no clue what you are talking about. Also in many areas of the US, there is this little thing called pedestrian right of way.

Did you not see him move his car forward with a number of people in front of him?

Are you going to also host a convention with thousands of other people?
Probably not
Are you going to also host a convention with thousands of other people?

Why does the number matter? Do they have special permission to block traffic? If so, why weren't there barricades further down the street at intersections? Why was that person allowed to get that far? Are there bylaws in place that state that flash mobs are allowed to block traffic if their number exceeds x people? What is that number?
I hate watching shit like this because the crowd basically ends up daring the driver to drive right through them by throwing a temper tantrum.
Yeah sure honking is rude and loud, but once you start pounding the hood and hitting the car windows you are asking to get ran over. Fight or flight, and you sure as hell aren't going to try to confront 4 to 20 people.
[editline]28th July 2014[/editline]
They keep taking down the video.
Pedestrians always have the right of way. Period. It was the drivers fault for creeping forward.

Idk but it seems a little bit siller to give thousands of people a fine instead of just finding an alternate route.
Driving is really easy. I realize the crowd in the video was stretching pretty far but come on. As soon as I saw the horde of people I wouldn't have even attempted to go down that street, it's just common sense.
Not to mention the honking is rude as fuck (*Those were long-winded "fuck you" honks, not short please move honks. There is a difference). I bet you anything if they just waited a little bit and maybe gave a friendly wave to the people standing there they probably would have moved on their own.
Did you not hear him honk his horn indicating that he wanted people to move the fuck out the way so he could get through? Did you not see them start attacking his car for this essentially harmless, if annoying, act?

In the video they point out that people are standing the fuck still in the street. Again, I should just be allowed to sit down on the snow route with your argument.
