I'm not, I am just saying that t the car is more in the wrong than they are. The other vehicle(the suv) is completely unaffected and was following the law, while he was not. [editline]28th July 2014[/editline] You do know it isn't self defense if you start the situation right?
Of honking your horn to move people out of the way? how the fuck is that even a situation, you're using the horn for it's intended purpose to warn people to move. If the people in front of him just moved instead of started to antagonize him and others start pulling on the door, nothing would happened.
Did he threaten their lives in his original displeased state? No Did they threaten his life when they all started attacking the fucking car? Yes That's self defense. He didn't start the dangerous situation.
He had broken the law by attempting to cross the street with pedestrians in the way, while lurching forward. He was in the wrong by doing that, the people were in the wrong by attacking him, but that does not change the fact that he basically was trying to cross when he was not supposed to.
Did he threaten their lives in his original displeased state? No Did they threaten his life when they all started attacking the fucking car? Yes That's self defense. He didn't start the assault, they did.
Considering he's seriously injured someone who was just walking by, I'm pretty fucking sure a court would see him in the wrong.
I'm not, I am just saying that t the car is more in the wrong than they are.
And I disagree. Yes, it was wrong for him to plow through the crowd once they started attacking his car but what would you propose he do instead? Offer them doritos and mountain dew as a peace offering? I believe it was the crowd getting violent that put them over the edge for being in the wrong.
Considering he's seriously injured someone who was just walking by, I'm pretty fucking sure a court would see him in the wrong.
Seriously injured one person after they attempted to attack his car amid a crowd of people trying to do the same thing

The crowd did not attack him randomly.
He had made the crowd violent by threatening them. The crowd did not attack him randomly.
Wow, a loud horn. How threatening!
Seriously injured one person after they attempted to attack his car amid a crowd of people trying to do the same thing
Doesn't matter. This Is a crossing. He didn't just drive through the small group that were hitting the car, he thought it would be a fantastic idea to just slam into the crowd walking by. It's not "Self Defense" If you slam into an onlooker.
Maybe the people in the street should have moved their fuckin asses out of the way to let the car through. It wouldn't have fuckin killed 'em to move over a bit.
Pedestrians almost always have the right of way, but regardless of that why the hell weren't the streets blocked off?
Wow, a loud horn. How threatening!
And his vehicle itself, which most of you tend to forget about. Did you even look at the video?
He had broken the law by attempting to cross the street with pedestrians in the way, while lurching forward. He slowly moves inside the mob while honking trying to get through then they get pissy and start surrounding his car in an pissy fit, its obvious they are not following the traffic rules at all and it was stated he waited plenty of time to try to let them pass.
Guess the next time I honk at some asshole who's blocking traffic and he throws a brick though my window or something I should be the one apologising to him!
Guess the next time I honk at some asshole who's blocking traffic and he throws a brick though my window or something I should be the one apologising to him!
Implying throwing a brick through a window is the equivalent of slapping the hood of a car.

He never had right of way due to the continuous flow of people crossing, which you do not seem to remember. Are people suddenly now allowed to block an intersection because a class is doing a local field trip and is crossing on the far side of the street? No. They are to wait until the people have cleared his path to cross.
Implying throwing a brick through a window is the equivalent of slapping the hood of a car.
implying slapping the hood of a car is equivalent to acting like they are about to pull you out of the car into a angry mob.
Implying throwing a brick through a window is the equivalent of slapping the hood of a car.
and sitting on his hood and bashing his windows and opening his doors but lets forget about those
implying slapping the hood of a car is equivalent to acting like they are about to pull you out of the car into a angry mob.
They didn't try to pull anyone out or do anything more than slapping until after he hit full throttle if you payed attention.

If he just fucking gunned it because they weren't moving then you would have a point, but he sounded his horn for them to move out of the way and they got angry.
doesn't look like the driver was "barreling through a crowd of people" until people started smashing his fucking windscreen?
What's up with the "only idiots try and drive though a crowd of people?" crap? I seem to remember a certain video of a man plowing through a crowd of bikers, sending them flying 50 feet in the air and dragging them under his giant SUV's tires got tons of support.
They didn't try to pull anyone out or do anything more than slapping until after he hit full throttle if you payed attention.
They were still slapping the car and most likely threatening him and his family and it doesn't matter when it happens, it happened period making my point. There was even a guy egging it on saying they should flip the car and telling them to stop the car.
MYTH #1: Pedestrians always have the right-of-way. REALITY: No, not always. Legally, pedestrians have the right-of-way at controlled intersections and in marked crosswalks; but the law also states that "no pedestrian shall unnecessarily stop or delay traffic while in a marked or unmarked crosswalk." oh look, looking for 5 seconds shows that they are indeed in the wrong for stopping traffic period.
That will be relevant when you bring forth the law stating a motorist is allowed to run over multiple pedestrians just because they're breaking the law. I didn't think so, you're fucking crazy if you think hit and run and reckless driving are logical solutions when people are merely blocking a road.

There were people crossing on both the close and far side of the street, even if you ignored the people standing still, he never was in a position for getting right of way to cross.

It would have taken basically no effort on their part.
They were still slapping the car and most likely threatening him and his family and it doesn't matter when it happens, it happened period making my point. The point was that they saw the people breaking the law, were annoyed, and tried to get through. They didn't do anything aggressive until the crowd started being aggressive. At that part of the event, before the legit aggression started, I'd at least say that both parties were equally in the wrong.
if they were threatening his family they couldnt hear it anyway so nbd lol
there's a thing called visual cues and believe it or not but deaf people can mostly read lips to begin with. epic zinger
Well they didn't floor it into the crowd because they saw the crowd breaking the law, they did it because they were intimidated. Honestly, at that point, he's got it coming. I would be pretty intimidated if I was in front of him and that happened to me. The crowd around me is pretty dense, and if I was right there in front of his hood I would jump onto the hood too to avoid getting run over. Personally, I would never under any circumstances attempt to drive through a large crowd, not even very slowly unless there was a third party involved such as a traffic guard or police officer. It's just a stupid idea, you could really hurt somebody, including children, elderly, etc, not to mention yourself and your passengers. This guy is far from innocent, and he would have an argument if he didn't attempt to get through in the first place, which he by law had no right to do. Watch the video. Plus them being deaf is completely irrelevant in this situation, I don't even know why the article had to mention it.
