You could, you know... Not buy the game. (If you say that you're forced to buy it because all your friends play it and you have to play with them then you're lying to yourself and should reconsider the foundation of a relationship based solely on playing the same games.)
Why, this game looks fucking terrible by comparison to the original Most Wanted.
because ea shells out money to these sell out assholes for bias reviews but so it's realistic they make it a 9/10
No, not Battlefield... please, EA.
It's so funny because, about the time Battlefield 3 was released, I said EA was going to go the route of Call of Duty and just shit out another one every year or two to get massive amounts of money, and people became incredibly hostile and said I didn't know what I was talking about.
Really? Because they were already on a release cycle before you said anything.
2002 Battlefield 1942 2004 Battlefield Vietnam 2005 Battlefield 2 2006 Battlefield 2142 2008 Battlefield: Bad Company 2009 Battlefield Heroes 2009 Battlefield 1943 2010 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 2010 Battlefield Online 2011 Battlefield Play4Free 2011 Battlefield 3 2013/2014 Battlefield 4
It's always been either 1 or 2 years. And I took out expansions.

But further, all of them held obvious advancements and changes between each iteration. Now look at Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. Those are much akin to Call of Duty in that there are hardly any substantive differences between iterations. They are skin deep at best.

Where did you hear anything about BF4? AFAIK they haven't even announced if they did an engine update for the game yet, which if they did I'd say that's a pretty substantive difference.
I'm not saying that was this exact case I just mean that has been known to happen.
Ohh, absolutely. It happens all the time. [editline]1st November 2012[/editline]
Take them out and it's still every 1/2 years. Where did you hear anything about BF4?
That really changes nothing about what I said.
I'm just arguing how they were already releasing games every 1/2 years despite your point that they're "shitting out games every 1/2 years now like CoD." They're not going the route of anything. They're just following the same pattern they have been for the last decade.
oh no a company is earning money ohhhh nnnnoooo I don't see the majority complaining about it, in fact I don't see anyone outside reddit/v/fp circlejerks complaining about it If people didn't like them releasing DLC and barely modified games they would stop that and it wouldn't be a viable business strategy

watch out guys you can't have an opinion if you're the minority Just because It's a good business strategy doesn't make it right, Hell, TF2 makes a shitton of money
I'll buy Battlefield 4 and enjoy it, and probably what comes after it as well. I'm sure I'm not the only person who'd like a Bad Company 3. And I can pretty much be assured most of the people complaining about this will buy BF4 as well.

This constant crashing and freezing (as the only game doing so!) gets pretty lame after a few hundred times.
I think I'm done with EA now. I'd always secretly hoped that the whole 'cash cow' sceme would eventually get stale, but it looks like it will be here for a eternity.
IGN and Game Informer awarded Need for Speed a 9 out of 10.
You paid them and still couldn't get a 10/10?
yeh it's worse
Not really. I would like an option for vanilla (well, this can be done with mods), but i honestly wouldn't had been playing team fortress 2 for the past 3 years if it was what it was in '07.
What the fuck need for speed most wanted the shit edition getting 9/10? BULLSHIT it needs 5/10 if not 4.
What will happen: People will get fed up with both Activision and EA, and abandon them and their respective titles. As both companies are filing for bankruptcy, Valve will unleash Half Life 3, which will become the highest sellign video game of all time and make Valve the number one company in video games. From there we will enter a golden age of video games
And NHL has been a "billion dollar franchise" since 2005 or something?
It's funny because this is what EA did to the Battlefield franchise, minus the free part.
and valve didn't
your (and most people who play tf2's) opinion is that tf2 is getting new and fresh content my opinion is that they're ruining and complicating the original gameplay by adding weapons with slightly modified stats and models taken from other parties (the workshop), the ones that are actually new and fun to play with taking loads of grinding to get, and adding hats and new levels of "quality and rarity" to items so that the already terrible economy gets even worse
also i like how people complain about having an option to customize their characters in tf2, you dont even have to fucking give a shit about the 'economy' because its all secluded to trade servers. i like it when new hats are added because it gives me more options of customization, rather then everyone being the same old class clone # 34564345
If you can somehow convince the populace that a linear single player game has better replay value than a multiplayer one, sure.
Just stop posting.
Why are people surprised? They're already doing this. They've been doing it since FIFA and BF were created.
Battlefield 3 was such a dissapointment.
Would have been ok if they hadn't rushed the release to beat MW3's release date. Then release close quaters dlc and a fucking crossbow!
Battlefield 3 is still a fun game.
