My school have one woman as a guard, because Latvia doesn't have retarded guns laws which allow everyone and their grandma own an assault rifle.
There's something about being able to protect your entire family from bad people that sounds logical, but that's just me.
Kids bringing guns to school? Seriously? Wow. One guy brought a knife to mine and threatened a girl with it. He was, of course, expelled. I think the incredible thing is that these students are so averse to actually learning anything. I mean, they seem to have no ambition in life at all, aside from losing their virginity at fourteen and becoming a football player.:ohdear:
Luckily we don't need school security here in Norway.
Luckily we don't need school security here in Norway.
This.
We don't have security guards, but I do live in England where the general public don't have guns.
Luckily we don't need school security here in Norway.
This, but Denmark.
http://www.macon.com/2010/03/09/1052142/gun-goes-off-in-dublin-high-classroom.html Is that it? If so, I can see why it didn't really hurt. The bullet fragment didn't penetrate the clothing. [editline]02:41AM[/editline] All you got was a bruise. An actual gunshot would be far more painful.
that would still hurt a lot.
My school has magnetic door locks that require a special card to open. Nobody can get in and nobody can get out.
My school has magnetic door locks that require a special card to open. Nobody can get in and nobody can get out.
And if you forget/lose the card, you're fucked?
And if you forget/lose the card, you're fucked?
They can let you in from the inside with a switch, but the whole system fails because you can smash the pane of glass in the door and put your arm in and press the switch that way. My school also wasted a lot of money on this system, so now we have to purchase our own textbooks from external resources.
The irony of it is that Latvia has a higher homicide rate than the US. Assault rifles in the US are heavily taxed to the point where legal purchase cost about as much as a new car. Not that it matters, since most automatic firearms the few criminals have had in posession are illegally converted in all but one reported case which involved a police officer. Protip: If schools actually had some security and allowed teachers to arm themselves, this incident could have been easily avoided.
Idiot. Do you really think teachers will shoot children, even if it is to defend themselves. If you arm everyone you don't end up with a shooting, but a shootout.
Protip: If schools actually had some security and allowed teachers to arm themselves, this incident could have been easily avoided.
OH MY GOD what is the world coming to? You've got to consider a nation's stance on guns when people are considering the arming of teachers against the threat of students...
Oh jeez... Last year some kid at my school took PCP and tried to go on a naked rampage. Luckily he didn't have a weapon and he didn't manage to hurt someone badly (just a few bruises on a few people).
A guy at my school got caught with a fully loaded WASR in the trunk of his car, Apparently he was going to the range after school.
That's retarded. The getting in trouble for it part. [editline]04:11PM[/editline]
OH MY GOD what is the world coming to? I don't think he is, but teachers going around with guns? Seriously?
Consider yourself lucky, my school is next to a prison for rapists and pedophiles.
Ha, my friends was next to an asylum! You could still hear the screams every so often.
I don't think he is, but teachers going around with guns? Seriously?
It's a bit extreme but if they're concealed student's wouldn't even know about it and it would overall make the school safer.
That's because most schools have very poor security. My old one didn't have any at all. Just a puny old man pretending to be a guard.
What. Our schools don't have security.
I live in the US and my school has no security either
I didn't even realize schools had security anywhere. I live in Canada, and at our school we have a police liaison officer who drops by once every few days. That's it.

I'm glad it didn't go through, but they cut my fucking jeans open to look. I would've dropped my pants, but no. I went to court on the kids behalf, he's getting help now.
You helped a kid that accidently sent high velocity bullet fragments at you?
You helped a kid that accidently sent high velocity bullet fragments at you?
Key word accidentally. Why testify against an accident like that? No one was seriously hurt
Idiot. Do you really think teachers will shoot children, even if it is to defend themselves. If you arm everyone you don't end up with a shooting, but a shootout.
A shootout can make the difference between one bodybag leaving the scene, or a dozen. Did I mention that in the US, Next to all reported incidents where the assailant's victim was armed were ended without a single shot being fired?
My school had security cameras in every hall two armed cops and bulletproof magnetic doors. And we haven't had a single gun incident to justify it. :saddowns:
The only schools that have posted security are in LA/NYC/Detroit/other general shitholes. Bigger schools have SROs, police officers assigned to them that aren't even there half the time and do more speeches than anything.
My school had security cameras in every hall two armed cops and bulletproof magnetic doors. And we haven't had a single gun incident to justify it. :saddowns:
Of course, whoever wanted those would just say that means it's working.
You crazy Americans and your guns....
Anyone can get a gun. All you need is money and the right place to look, regardless of whether or not they're banned.
America: kids with guns - Gorillaz Scandinavia: At least we know where to point our double edged waraxes. seriously, you need to teach these kids what consequences a gun to the head can have. teach them that death is permanent. it is obvious that these people don't realize how grave their actions are.
You crazy Americans and your guns....
Hey screw you Europe! We kicked your ass. And, your lucky. Nothing ever happens at my school that's exciting.
