I am known to have steel nerves while watching gory shit etc.
Watching 5 times in a row, this still makes me cringe. Ouch.
This reminds me of Far Cry 2 in the sense of "oh i just got hit with a rocket launcher, i'll drink some water"
"RPG to the face? relocate finger and everything was k."

Got shot in the face? Pull glass shard out of your foot.

I feel so horrible about laughing at this.
If that bald prick didn't FUCKING WALK AWAY, this guy might still be alive.
I'd like to see you try to grab a hold of 400 pounds with a curved back on impulse.

Irrelevant, he knew what he was required to do.

The bench had no platform for a spotter so they had to stand they way they did.
If that bald guy had tried catching that thing, he would've ended up adding his own weight to that poor man.
This is a bench with a proper platform for a spotter.

this is why you need two large tables just higher than the chest
that's the only way I would ever ever do this. FUCK THAT.
One extra reason I don't bench press. Nor the dead weight lift.

Unless you lift serious amounts of weight you aren't going to have accidents like that, or if you practice proper technique.
This is why I never ever lift with an open grip, not even at lower weights.
I don't think it was a open grip. Looked like a close grip, his thumbs seemed to be wrapped around the other end of the bar
They dont call it the suicide grip for nothing... although to me it looks like a closed grip but the accident still happened. I remember getting up one of my mates for using the suicide grip because he could seriously hurt himself, maybe if I show him this he will change his mind.
Yeah it's closed grip.
