A revolution would never be televised
The army recently made a switch to a Multicam uniform:

That's probably the one.
Looks like Greener MARPAT.

So does that mean everyone should occupy Fox News?

I miss Gil Scott Heron :(
I really hope this doesn't die.

I feel like the mass arrest of 700 protesters will give some people motivation to continue, and deter others.
Hard telling what'll happen.

I think if everyone behind the effort was to pool resources towards bailing out these 700, that would be an excellent show of support for them.

A true Revolution should be avoided at all costs. A revolution would seriously change the way of life for years to come in the United States. It would be long, and many people would die. Look for reform first.
Let me say what I said in another thread:
I think any revolution would just cause a cluster fuck. Think about it. Until something horribly oppressive happens here like the Government deploys military in the streets to gun down protestors, you're never going to get popular opinion on your side. In the odd chance that a revolution does manage to take down Washington D.C, then what? You still got 50 states, each with their own functioning governing body that just essentially became their own nations because the federal government was taken down. I could tell you right now that Texas would just secede and become it's own country. But Texas is different then the other states. It has a big enough economy that it can function on it's own without the federal government. California would be the only other that could possibly do this.
So then you would have the Republic of California, Republic of Texas, then 48 other governing systems scrambling to make something up before they collapse. Then a little Socialist state in D.C. and wherever else the revolution took place. This would encourage the rouge backwater trash to come out of the woods and take over their own little slice of land. (I'm talking about the Neo-Nazis that have weekly meetings out in the woods with an arsenal of weaponry, along with all the other groups of people that have long been waiting for an opening to fuck with society).
What I'm saying is, unless something happened that pissed the majority of people off so much, that they were willing to collapse the governments of the country simultaneously under a single cause nation wide, any attempt of revolution would cause more harm than good, and you would never be able to take down the whole country.
We have been looking for reform, it just won't happen because of our shitty politicians.
At least if you rate me dumb follow it up with a rebuttal.
CBC finally had something on it last night.
You're simplistic and clearly don't understand what a revolution would entail.
If you weren't promoting a revolution, I misunderstood.
I understand clearly what a revolution would bring with it, and I was actually endorsing it.
I know a revolution would bring disease, death, disorder, and destruction, but it also has the chance of restoring order, removing corruption, and re-establishing fairness in the workplace and in government. I don't just say things, I try to clearly think through all of the possible outcomes and come to a decision based on whatever seems the be the most correct approach to a situation.

A revolution, as already described, will bring these terribles things into everybody's lives. Considering we're supposed to be this great big country don't you think this should be averted at all costs? I don't see a national deposing anything more than an uneducated gamble with a wager no one could possibly 'imagine or come to a decision based on whatever seems to be.'
Who would actually be eligible to step up and take over the smoldering rubble of the federal government? Who would decide who's eligible? Who would protect the people from the people?
No. Change must come from within, not without.
Uhh a 'revolution' does not have to be a bloody overthrowing ordeal.
One of their demands should be a constitutional convention, there's a couple things that need fixing/made more clear.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof
needs to be changed to something like:
Congress shall make no law respecting religion in such a way as to break a clear seperation of religion and the state.
PLEASE.
oh no she miswrote something ignore the overall message of the piece!!!
That wasn't even the main point. You seriously think that her only options are prostitution and drug selling?
I don't see what she's complaining about, drug dealing is an incredibly lucrative business

Agreed. Hardest part is starting up.. Once you establish a clientele the drugs practically sell themselves!

Especially now that you can do it anonymously over the Internet now, with Bitcoins and Tor. Plus it has its own specific clientell: people too awkaurd to talk to drug dealers IRL.
So I just found out my brother is at the OccupyBoston protest, and my history teacher still has no idea any of this is going on.
Has the amount of people at these been going up or down in the past few days?

Up.
Up, and Occupy WS is planning on continuing into the winter. In fact they are asking for donations of winter provisions such as gloves, heaters, blankets, etc.
Their address is on their site if you want to make a donation.
The unions and other major supporters will be coming to boost support on Oct. 5th/6th and Oct. 15th.
I can't help but notice, is the guy with with the sign wearing Canadian camo? As far as I know the US digital camo is more tan than green, while the Canadian stuff is deep green.

Our digital army camo is universal. We don't have a green/tan version anymore. Just one.
No. They are wearing the old style blob camo from a decade or more back. They are either military personnel who served and are retired, or they are posers who bought that stuff from a military surplus store.
And yes, the Army has one universal color/density of camo now. The Marine Corps has Woodland and Desert with different colors/shades/densities depending on the colors and textures of the part of the country (foreign or domestic) you are serving in.
3rd battery of "Fox Nation" comments about the protests, from an article about a statement from the White House saying they "understand the concerns of the protesters":

These comments literally make me nauseous. It's disgusting.
I'm just still absolutely baffled why there is zero media coverage on this at all.
...But I bet you if Lady Gaga let slip one of her titties during a stage performance, we'd know all about it.
I wonder if I took two days off of school, I could camp out at the one in Boston. That would be cool.

Anyone I talk to about it hasn't heard a damn thing, even professors that use current events as topics for discussions. My assumption is they are hoping lack of coverage will make it die down.
Tor isn't that safe as you think.
statistically it's safer than getting drugs from normal dealers.

I have seen worse, there was one comment "quoting" Obama saying he was a Muslim, and another blaming the "democratic controlled congress" :downs: for the protests.
