I thought the 1% were more like the super rich. The bill gates, warren buffet types. Isn't the number more like 5% and 95%? I mean there are "millionaires" in that 99% percent. Quite a few people have over a million dollars. It seems like it would be more than 1%

Suffice it to say, I sympathize with the protesters, because wealth inequality is literally [I][B]the [/B][/I]root of most of the problems in America at the present time, in one way or another.

The top 1% pays roughly 40% of all federal income tax, that's how much fucking money they make, but this is only due to the now-massive income inequality that's present and why it's not a good argument for not raising taxes on the rich even a teensy weensy bit.
