I only see Danny Devito. Whats the comic supposed to be about?
Here are some other pictures form OWS in New York I took.

If I can save enough money for a plane ticket and a sleeping bag after family member's wedding in a couple weeks, I'm going up to NYC for a week to protest. Does anyone have any idea if the amount of protesters in NYC is increasing by the day or decreasing? I really would like to go and have my voice heard (or at least try to have it heard) but not if there's only 10 raggedy ass hippies walking around. Planning on being up there from October 30th-November 5th.

While all this stuff is going on I can't not help but think of it when I listen to this song.

Oh the irony of those pictures.
Oh the irony of those pictures.
With that first image you'd think all the Socialists in America are just agent provocateurs or something.
I'm mainly talking about the Annoy liberals by using facts.
It's hilarious since it's the opposite.
There are certainly philosophers on both ends of the political spectrum, but whether they're credible or not is up to the reader. For example I take Marx, Engels, or Luxembourg far more seriously than Ayn Rand.
Hell, you don't even have to be a marxist to support Engels and the like.
Francis Fukayama is the most prominent pro-Engels guy that comes to mind

(how your end of history going lol)
I'm going to Occupy Orlando this weekend, mainly with the purpose of photographing everything.
I will post pictures.
Oh good, Contag is here to remind us that everything is OK and there's no such thing as corruption.
lol, Contag wasn't saying that. He supports the Occupy Wall Street movement. He was just pointing out that there's not really much of a reason to have a similar movement in Australia, when there's not nearly as much corruption here. He's well aware of political corruption in the US and is against the massive amount of influence corporations have. He's also against the insane amount of support the rich receive in America, whilst the rest of the population suffers (read: works multiple jobs, is unemployed, has massive student loans they can't pay back, is homeless, etc.).
Do you not know that he's left-wing, or...?

The one about racism, then the clearly racist picture that follows.

Does anyone feel a bit conflicted about celebrities joining the protests? I read yesterday that one of the Gossip Girl actors joined. I mean, I'm sure some of them do rightfully support it, but isn't it kind of hypocritical?

I know what you mean, but you don't have to be ''the 99%'' to realise something is seriously wrong.
OccupyOmaha is trying to get an interview with Warren Buffett.

A lot of celebrities use their fame and money for better causes.

Yeah, I hear you. I do like the idea of celebrities using the platform they have to support things like this, but it just feels peculiar to me.
Still, the more support it has, the better, I guess.

Yes, I'm well aware of that, thanks.
ETA: I'm sure most of you are familiar with the We Are The 99 Tumblr. These people are struggling to survive, and want to make their voices heard. Celebrities like Kanye, Russell Simmons, and Penn Badgley live on the complete opposite spectrum. It just feels odd to me.

A lot of them use these causes to better their fame and money.
My Grandma said she's gonna go to our cities 'Occupy GR' rally.
Not been so into this story. But today in my business class he wanted us to write a short essay on whats going on and why or why not we'd think it might work.
I heard that there are Occupation San Francisco, Sacramento, Denver, Boston, Las Angeles. A lot more probably. I can't believe how quick this spread. I guess we were all just sitting on a timebomb?
This is really exciting. I hope this doesn't die off like so many other American protests. Its been going pretty strong and I hope to go check out the protests in San Francisco one of these days.

Thanks for co-opting the movement and demeaning as well.
How about they distribute their wealth and fund some of this?

Well if they actually contribute to the cause...
Like I don't hate Bill Gates because he's not a greedy fucker, he's giving away most of his money.
And? They're still profiting off the system that these people are protesting?
That's like saying "oh well this african dictator that grew rich on the suffering of his people wasn't bad at all because he also funded a couple of TB vaccinations"

Yeah but is Kanye West and others really going to do that?
I seriously doubt it.
I mean, you can be like Warren Buffet, or you can try to jump on fashionable trends, like what I think these celebrities are doing.
Like the whole 'make poverty history' (read: fashionable) bullshit
ten years later sub-saharan africa has barely changed

Yes, so I feel like he could rightfully have a voice in something like this because he actually makes those kinds of sacrifices. But he is an anomaly amongst celebrities and the uber-rich. Most of them will go wave a placard for the paparazzi and then go back to their multi-million dollar mansions and sleep tight. They're not giving away most, or even a significant amount of their money (I know that some celebrities do, and I'm all in favour of that). It feels hypocritical to me because they are the ones who have benefited from the oppression of these very people.

It's not like they can walk into congress and demand they change the law because they don't like their large paychecks.
It's not like they can walk into congress and demand they change the law because they don't like their large paychecks.
Actually I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they can do considering how much congress cares about your opinion depends on how much money you have in your wallet.
At occupy Oklahoma city. Kind of too dark for pictures. Will post images if I feel like it etc.
