2 teen girls sunbathing on Pennsylvania road struck by car

Yeah but sunbathing on the road is still a baad idea.
is the car ok?
Its totalled, couldn't handle hitting something that dense.
Sure, the black asphalt is burning hot to lay on, but why not go to a beach?
This is what we call, ladies and gentlemen. (I'm not trying to be an asshole) Natural Selection. What if they didn't get struck and told all their friends about it? Then there'd be more possible people dead.
:/
Apparently their in fair condition so. . . Natural Selection has failed.
This time. . .

This is why we shouldn't put fences around rail tracks, if you're dumb enough to go there, you deserve death.
It reminds me of:

It doesn't get any dumber than this.
I suppose it's a good thing they didn't loose their lives at least.
it's good for when it's dark and people are inebriated.
To be honest, I can see why they didn't think twice, many of these rural roads here can go for days without seeing a car or truck that doesn't belong to the locals.
Don't feel heartless, they were fucking stupid for laying in the road. If anything, it serves as a lesson.
yes because two girls were naive they deserved to be ran over, get a grip
To be fair, Alarger amount of Pa is rural...and quite empty for days at a time.
yes because two girls were naive they deserved to be ran over, get a grip
No but seriously, they couldn't have found a better place to sunbathe? Like, a driveway or something?
I mean if you're laying in the street you might as well be asking to get hit by a car. Of course they didn't deserve it, but still.

they're not lying in a street in the middle of a town, it mentioned it was rural and there obviously weren't many cars around - they probably reckoned they'd hear it if it wasn't for them falling asleep they'd be fine
Still, why would you go on the road. Even if it is rural it sounds like a dumb idea. Playing hockey or basketball or soccer on the road, yea, that's perfectly fine, but lying down where people can barely see you from an angle? That's just plain dumb.
To be fair to those girls the only car that came by was their cousin's. In other words, they weren't run over by the general traffic that drives by, no one was driving by.
Then their cousin hears they are out there sunbathing and he tells his mom "Mom, I'm gonna borrow the car for a few minutes" and drives like a bat out of hell to where they are so he can sneak a peek. Too bad he was so busy working his gear shift, if you know what I mean, that he didn't see them laying in the road.

They're 13 years old, I wouldn't go on it because I have more sense, but they are 13 years old - I could pretty confidently lie on the road outside my house for hours without being hit but again, I have more sense.
So if you're done scoffing about naive children doing naive things *which when you look at it would seem perfectly fine to a 13 y/o* and spouting all over the thread about how "they deserved it for being dumb" then maybe, just maybe, you could sympathize with the worried families of the two young hospitalized women like a normal human being would?????????????

And if you read the article: "The girls were airlifted to a hospital. Officials with the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh tell the station that the girls are in fair condition Sunday night."
They were airlifted in because of how far out in the arse end of nowhere they are.
Sad thing is this isn't an uncommon thing to see in rural Pennsylvania
All of the stupid in that article made my brain walk out the room, yell at the top of its lungs [sp](it left my skull, I think you can let it have lungs too)[/sp], walk back into the room, smack me upside the face, hop back into my cranium and then inform me that this world is doomed.
Idunno man, girls these days are growing up younger and younger.
Oh my God. I laughed so hard.
Now my colleagues think I am crazy.
Back to Topic:
I wonder how they tell the story in the future:
"These Scars are from an accident with a car.
I was sunbathing with a friend on a road and we fellt asleep and got ranned over."
:v:
Sounds strange.
