You know what would be funny. If 100,000 people suddenly decides to go feed the homeless in that state causing a mass overcrowding of jail and humongous paperwork in the police department
And then they would use all their money to feed the homeless and become homeless.
I can't believe I'm reading this right now.
Rich people don't like homeless, so I can kinda see how this law got passed. But why in gods name would you enforce it?
Those arresting officers must've felt like shit.
The $500 fine is funny, cause you'd think that fine money would go to homeless shelters but probably just general funds
fuck the poor at its finest. :v:
Fools, don't you understand if you cut off the homeless food source they will develop new tastes...human flesh :tinfoil:
Ive driven through lauderdale a couple times and just by the shit ive seen on the street I can tell they've got bigger problems than a 90 year old feeding the homeless
If they didn't want to be hungry they should have worked harder and got a job. Feeding them just continues the cycle of them depending on handouts. So by making it illegal to feed them, you're actually helping them
My father told me about his great grandfather who worked 4 jobs and still went to college, never complaining because that is how it was. He even had to walk to each of his jobs and college in 5 ft tall snow so stop complaining you gosh darned libby!!
Can we please just sell Florida back to Spain?
How was this ordinance ever passed? I mean, I'm really struggling trying to think of a logical reason for preventing people from feeding hungry and homeless people.
same reason why kids are being suspended over there in schools for 'shooting poptart guns' reactionary
I would start a discreet and secret delivery charity or a "drop and go" kind of thing. Feed the homeless but never get caught doing it. Its REALLY bad if you had to hide yourself trying to help someone else. Whoever voted for this ordinance to pass needs to be stripped of all wealth and forced to live as homeless and see how they like it. They'd be begging for food after the first day.
