I miss zombie master, and No More Room In Hell feels like pretty much any other zombie mod imo.
Are melee weapons still unbelievable powerful? I remember keeping the entire zombie horde at bay during the finale by just standing on a table and clicking with the machete.
Just want to make sure it's not just me, but is the game suppose to not have a hud?
Just want to make sure it's not just me, but is the game suppose to not have a hud?
Yeah. The only hud you'll ever really see is the weapon and ammo wheels when those are brought up, the ammo check if you hold reload with a firearm, and the compass if you ever remember it is there.
This game is way to dark. Aren't you supposed to be able to see somehow?
No, use a flashlight
This game is way to dark. Aren't you supposed to be able to see somehow?
Pick up a flashlight at the beginning of a round. There's usually enough for everyone.
I wonder how long it'll take for them to notice that the game's apparently unplayable in multiplayer?
Anyone up for a game right now? I should have everything set up for it. My connection ain't the best, but 2~ Mbs up might be enough for 2-4 people. Look for 'Facepunch Server' in the server list, or use this command in the console
connect 174.96.255.210
I'll be hosting for a couple of hours. Oops wait, my bad. Password is '' greenlit '' Sorry, forgot to post it. [editline]*sigh*[/editline] Server's down for now. Might host again tomorrow.
Tried connecting, Joe, and it gave me 'bad server address'
I wonder how long it'll take for them to notice that the game's apparently unplayable in multiplayer?
I haven't had any issues with the multiplayer being unplayable other than the fact that just about every server is full.
I haven't had any issues with the multiplayer being unplayable other than the fact that just about every server is full.
Damn, I filter for no filled servers and every single one I try to enter gets the same thing as others, even when a server's playercount isn't near full. And if it's a low playercount, it just tells me it's a lan server and thus I can't join.
So what exactly are boards for? I've played this game for so long and I've never found a use for the boards. I don't even bother picking them up anymore and the only change in gameplay experience is I have more inventory space :v:

Also been following this game since 2011 so I'm kinda sad that as soon as it gets to Steam everything exploded. Worked (on Steam) yesterday, so I guess it's the new influx of players.
I'm happy that they kept the "FUCK YOURSELF" response in the game. Saying no was never so funny. :v:

If you are on a survival map though, make sure to only put them so to keep zombies out, but leave gaps under them for people to crawl under.
Night of the Living Dead needs to be looked at. You can not melee the zombies if they're on the other side of a board, but they can hit you. Makes defense stupidly hard because you either need a gun, or need to wait for them to break all the boards. Melee in general needs looked at. It's nice and all, but annoying that zombie reach is longer than sledgehammer reach, let alone knife reach.

And the weapons do have shorter ranges than they should for the most part, though occasionally you'll find a weapon with a slightly higher range than it should have. Really though the trick is just to start a swing and step in just before the attack hits then step back immediately to avoid getting hit if you don't get a kill. Another thing, don't use the flashlight to fight, you won't accomplish anything except getting yourself killed. Also, I have to say the best weapons are the machete and the baseball bat. The machete does massive damage and has good reach, along with being fast and low on stamina consumption. It almost always kills in one or two hits. The baseball bat is also fast and low on stamina consumption with good reach, but it doesn't have quite as high of damage as the machete (it is still good though, at most three hits, four at the worst) but what makes it so useful is that it has a very high chance to knockback, so most swings will stumble a zombie backwards, making it actually quite a bit safer than other melee weapons because it tends to cancel their swings and create distance between you and them.
Hatchets and Fire Axes are also really good.
I haven't tried the hatchet in this update, but I know they were laughably awful before this. They had such short range and the damage was pitiful, which meant you were unlikely to kill anything quickly and would get swarmed easily, and even against a single zombie you'd likely get hit at least once from having to step in so close.
Guys tell me, is player infected when blood comes to screen every now and then or is he bleeding/wounded at then?

[editline]2nd November 2013[/editline]
Guys tell me, is player infected when blood comes to screen every now and then or is he bleeding/wounded at then?
Blood means bleeding, when you are infected you get veins all over your vision.
Guys tell me, is player infected when blood comes to screen every now and then or is he bleeding/wounded at then?
If you occasionally hear you care grunt or groan, that means they are bleeding. Other players can see a constant stream of blood pouring out of you. If you are infected, veins will slowly creep in on your screen, and the further it gets along, then darker things will get and the more veiny and orange it will get. When the screen is completely black you die and are garunteed to turn. Bleeding can be fixed by using the brown rolls of bandages you can find around the map. Hold the weapon wheel key and move over them, then release the key like you were selecting a weapon. They'll stop the bleeding and heal a small amount of health. Infection cannot be cured, but it can be delayed if you have the little white and blue bottles of pills. It reserves the effect and prevents them from returning for a few minutes. They are used the same as bandages.

It does not work, both are incredibly weak. As for the Machete, great weapon, and you can hold a flashlight with one. I once survived an entire round solo with the Machete, because my team had all died at the start. [editline]2nd November 2013[/editline] Also worth noting, the big red Medical kits will also stop bleeding and restore a good amount of health.

Bandages show up often enough that you can use them yourself without much worry.
The machete has been buffed so much, it should be nerfed.
The machete has been buffed so much, it should be nerfed.
How was it buffed, really? It feels exactly the same. In fact, the only thing that seemed different at all was that is seems to consume more stamina per swing. Though the only thing mentioned is that its on the new hit detection system.
Did they fix zombie respawning so that you can clear a room and actually have it stay clear?
I remember the machete and fireaxe (though slow) being the best melee weapons by far. Personally I never had any luck with public/Internet games back in the day, private/LAN games works out the best. Not only because some maps can actually get more difficult the more players there are, but because the game sometimes just bugs out and needs to be restarted. Not sure if they fixed that since I played it last (over six month ago)?
Did they fix zombie respawning so that you can clear a room and actually have it stay clear?
Ya zombies only respawn if you're a good distance away from them.
