Looks like they are just gonna start to throw in big names into movies that suck.
Fun Fact:
Liam Neeson is the voice of the Lone Wanderer's father in Fallout 3.
Fun Fact 2:
Liam Neeson actually came back to voice Qui-Gon Jinn on Star Wars: The Clone Wars (you know that show on cartoonnetwork.)

LEGO is uncreative as hell and shit today imho.

I want LEGO to STEP ON A LEGO.
WHY?
With a cast like Will Ferrel, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, and Morgan Freeman, I've actually got high expectations. I wasn't even aware a lego movie was in the works, but Neeson and Freeman can basically choose to work with whatever project they want, and Arnett and Ferrel typically display pretty good judgment.
For a moment I thought they would do something live action and "EDGY" like the Michael Bay transformers movies.
Liam Neeson's one of those actors who's a really really good actor, but somehow constantly finds himself in some really bad movies.
I'm going to be optimistic about this one, just because of the cast and actually having a budget larger than probably anything Lego has ever been a part of.
looks like this movie is going to rebuild hollywood brick by brick
If it's a film aimed at children, it's probably got some humour involved. Liam Neeson's been aiming for stand-up for ages, so this is just part of that transition.
Have you ever played Lego Racers?
Some of these games were fucking fun.
I recall my computer always freezing up when I played this.
I've got a good selection of the Lego games, except for the licensed based ones (apart form Star Wars: the Original Trilogy).
Amazing fun.
Lego racers 1+ 2 (and 2 on GBA)
Lego Rock Raiders
Lego Chess
Lego Loco
Lego Creator
Lego Island
Lego Stunt Rally
Lego island 1, 2 and Extreme Stunts (Third one is poor can't believe it was sold for £25 at one point. It has about 4 mini games)
Lego Bionicle
Drome Racers
Legoland
Lego Creator: Knights Kingdom
Lego Soccer Mania (Beats Football Manage, FIFA and Pro Evo hands-down!)
WAIT! No Alpha Team? I hate myself!

you make it sound like complete chance or bad luck or something
Oh, I get it. Bottom of the barrel. Lego barrel. Full of lego bricks.
he was in Episode one that was a movie for kids.
The antagonist is named "President Business?"
No left-wing bias there.

I don't know why people think he's 'really really good'. Because he's in a bunch of shitty generic action films as a hard ass? Was it his one good performance in Schildler's List?
He's overrated as hell
So it's an animated movie featuring voice acting from A-list actors? What's new?

Alpha Team was the shit.
though those fucking skull guards scared the shit out of me as a kid.
Rock Raiders was also great, kindled my love for RTS.
Also there was this great turn based strategy game called spybotics
here it is :D

Huh, I'd have thought these actors would be more likely to be in a biopic about the creation and development of the toy itself rather than an animated film, but there you are.
Not trying to shit over everyone's parade but...

Nicolas Cage syndrome
According to Wikipedia, Will Arnet is voicing Lego Batman and Morgan Freeman is a wizard.

So it's a documentary.
Save yourself some dollars and just watch all 4 parts of this

*Cough* The post production house I work for here in Australia is working on it.
I can't say much... but for a LEGO film, it looks bloody amazing.

It is not a complement if you have to qualify it beforehand
'Yeah, she was a really good kisser for a hair-lip.'

Yeah, because idiots like you who have no idea what LEGO has become. LEGO is a hobby, not a toy. And believe me when I say that. It's not marketing for LEGO. If that's your case then making a movie about Mickey Mouse is advertising Disney. Or the Avengers is all about MARVEL MARVEL MARVEL!

Fake. Batman isn't in the movie, and last time I checked the plot has nothing to do with any wizards.
Fun Fact:

We know. He took up like 95% of the entire voice acting budget.

I meant specifically for NDA reasons...
