too busy playing Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Super Mario Bros U, Zombi U, Lego City, NintendoLand, and Sonic: Lost World to care can't wait to get Super mario 3D World this friday too.
None of these games interest me, nitnendo systems always attract the certain kind of audience and if you don't meet the criteria for that, you are fucked.
but pikmin sucks.
Man, I think they really screwed up when they named the console, a lot of people treat it as a previous generation console or as a wii add-on. I can't imagine that being any good for it's sales
but pikmin sucks.
oh you did not just talk shit about Pikmin
oh you did not just talk shit about Pikmin
I've played it before, and it's just not fun. I don't see why people like it so much.
This isn't new. It's been like that for a long time.
Yeah, whenever a nintendo console is failing, nintendo resorts to using their cash cows again. Still, apparently Miyamoto is working on a new IP for Wii U, pretty interested to see what that will be.
You say that as if it's not a fairly reasonable thing to do. Unlike Activision who do it just because they can.
more money does not equal better quality.
You say that as if it's not a fairly reasonable thing to do. Unlike Activision who do it just because they can.
Well it just seems sad that the console's selling points are now "you'll get rehashes of zelda, mario, and smash bros". I like those games but there's no way I'd keep buying consoles to get new versions of them, the last nintendo console we had was a wii which my parents got because they had fun playing wii sports at their friends for an hour. It's basically sat completely unused in our living room since it was bought with like a minor gap when I got red steel 2
more money does not equal better quality.
More money means the company gets to stay afloat so they can try again when they're at a point where taking risks is.. well, less risky.
Anyone know when "Super Mario fun party beach splash" comes out? Or when "Mario bro's & co Princess Rescue 2" is getting announced?
Anyone know when "Super Mario fun party beach splash" comes out? Or when "Mario bro's & co Princess Rescue 2" is getting announced?
nice zinger
More money means the company gets to stay afloat so they can try again when they're at a point where taking risks is.. well, less risky.
I'm sure wii and 3ds gained nintendo enough money, yet nintendo is relying on their old tricks yet again. Like Reggie's comment on the launch-ups of PS4 and Xbone being "meh" and stating that they have mario, zelda and donkey kong. Yeah, your 20 year old franchises, with the odd third party exclusives here and there is all you guys have.
It's a shame that third party developers haven't taken Nintendo's consoles very seriously ever since the Gamecube, the Wii had a pretty good library of games but also too much shovelware that was mass produced to make a quick buck off people who don't bother to read reviews. I just feel like nintendo doesn't really have a leg to stand on at this point. There isn't a large enough audience for their games. Nowadays, unfortunately, it's all about the cawadoody #420 #smokeweed. The water is rising around nintendo's feet, and they're trying to find room to breathe. but soon, they're gonna drown. the people that were born in the nintendo generation are growing up, and new kids are being introduced to shitty tablet games.

But yet here they are still making games and consoles.
"x doesn't have games" usually means "x doesn't have games that I'm interested in" and that's kind of the case for me and Wii U
Aww! It feels like only yesterday when it was all new and bought by no one.

Nintendo needs to license more M rated games that are good instead of "ooooh a nintendo game with blood and violence, so edgy."
Nintendo needs to license more M rated games that are good instead of "ooooh a nintendo game with blood and violence, so edgy."
The M rating doesn't really guarantee a good game, I think everyone learned this after the huge amount of brown/blurry FPS shovelware that happened on other consoles. What people want is just a larger variety of games in general.
Nintendo needs to license more M rated games that are good instead of "ooooh a nintendo game with blood and violence, so edgy."
I have no clue what you're trying to say. Are you saying Nintendo needs to make games that are rated M or allow more games that are rated M to be plusihed on their systems? And having a ton of M rated games does not make a console good fyi.
The Xbone and PS4 lineup is basically all rehashes too calladooty, forza, killzone, ect.
Still beats wii u's launch line-up (*cough*which also included calladooty*cough*)
The Xbone and PS4 lineup is basically all rehashes too calladooty, forza, killzone, ect.
It's not fair to compare the launch titles of brand new systems to a console that's been out for a year now. Assassin's creed is a great example of what can happen if you come up with a great new IP and put a lot of work into it, it's now a huge franchise and that never would have happened if they just kept re-releasing new versions of old IP
Nintendo needs to license more M rated games that are good instead of "ooooh a nintendo game with blood and violence, so edgy."
They already have Call Of Duty, Assassin's Creed, and other big M franchises on their console. Also Nintendo removed a big feature out of the 3DS because of one incident, do you really think they would try to make M games themselves?
I think a new F-Zero, Starfox and Metroid will invigorate some interest in the Wii U. We haven't had a console F-Zero game since 2003 and a console Star Fox since 2005. The gap between Star Fox and F-Zero has been pretty large and I think new ones will get fans jumping in their boots
