• Sanders crushes Clinton among Democrats abroad

Americans living abroad tend to have a better understanding of politics than the ones who live home. This is generally due exposure to international environments that does not include their own. [editline]21st March 2016[/editline] This win does not say much for Sanders— as it is not winner-take-all.
why has the rhetoric always been "that's cute but bernie doesn't actually have a chance just give up and look at the facts!", especially as he's gotten closer and closer let people get excited, he's got way more support in the coming states than he did in the initial ones, and that really sucks because I'm sure by now a LOT of people are looking at just voting for Clinton like they're somehow throwing away a vote by voting bernie in the primaries because up until now votes are swaying in her favor. Why? Do people just want to vote for the winning team to feel better about themselves? Until the main election hits and it's dem v rep, people have NOTHING to lose by voting for Bernie if they want to, if anything if he's losing people should stick to voting for who they want because it shows how much support they had
I will support Sanders until the convention. IDGAF who's most likely to win. I've also heard this shit from day one. I can't deny the fact that things aren't looking good for Sanders, but the defeatist bullshit is seriously poisonous to democracy.
I'll be eagerly awaiting your next meltdown when Bernie loses the big states.
You're gonna be waiting a while
Party primaries are the time to be "idealistic" anyway, so it only makes sense to support your favored candidate up until they actually lose out.
The problem Bernie has is he needs to have some landslide victories. Every "60 to 40" win Bernie has still adds to Clinton's delegate count which has already exceeded his by a great deal. 60 sounds like a big number and yes it closes the gap, but when Clinton gets delegates too, it only closes the gap a small distance.
Actually that's all he has to do, if he can pull off a sweep of 60:40 wins then he will have more committed delegates than clinton, even if they split California. The problem is it's going to be tight all the way to California, he will pickup momentum now that they're out of the deep south as they expand back towards his base, if he can pickup more Latinos and native Americans, he can hold the southwest
The next "big" states are Arizona and Washington. Washington is easily predicted to go to Sanders considering he has a large base of support there and it's one of the most progressive states in the nation. Arizona is really hard to predict demographically, so tomorrow could be a toss-up.
I would not be surprised if Clinton landslides Arizona, she does really well in traditionally conservative states.
I would not be surprised if Clinton landslides Arizona, she does really well in traditionally conservative states.
i would not be surprised if the polls underestimate her support once again and bernie wins or ties
What is she like 300 delegates ahead? thats nothing compared to the states coming up
Let me boil it down to the basics: Say a state has 19 delegates to offer, while Clinton has currently 10 delegates and Sanders has 8, making it a difference of 2 delegate toward at least a tie. An election is held and Sanders wins roughly 51% of the vote. Sanders is awarded 10 delegates, Clinton awarded 9. This is a "sanders victory". The new delegate count is now Clinton with 19, Sanders with 18. The difference is now 1, but Sanders still is losing because Clinton still got delegates. Now this type of situation is rare, as Clinton has won the majority of primaries so far, including Florida which is in the top 5 for Democrats in terms of delegates. Sanders can't afford "60 to 40" wins anymore, he needs "80 to 20" or better and he needs them in big states. A 50-50 split of California at this point still makes Clinton winning. [editline]21st March 2016[/editline]
i would not be surprised if the polls underestimate her support once again and bernie wins or ties
A tie is still Clinton winning in general.
I would not be surprised if Clinton landslides Arizona, she does really well in traditionally conservative states.
Arizona isn't really that conservative. I'd say it's about as conservative as Kansas or Colorado
Actually that's all he has to do, if he can pull off a sweep of 60:40 wins then he will have more committed delegates than clinton, even if they split California. I'm not sure he can pull this off, but there's a window to do so at least. [editline]21st March 2016[/editline]
Arizona isn't really that conservative.
"I wonder what news will make Bernie sound like he is winning"
Mother fucking this. Writing's been on the wall but God damned if folks just want to pretend there's some magic 200 Bernie Delegates hiding in a bunker somewhere in Virginia. I get it. I get it. There are ALOT of people sad that Bernie lost. But articles like this just show how sad and pathetic people can get just to hype up that Sander's might have some remote chance.
Mother fucking this. There are ALOT of people sad that Bernie lost. But articles like this just show how sad and pathetic people can get just to hype up that Sander's might have some remote chance.
I think that's a bit of an overzealous reaction. Of course there are a ton of delusional people who think that Bernie is going to clinch it any minute now in a miracle comeback. But it's still newsworthy to report his victories when they happen, especially by a margin like this. It tells us all something about what the political opinions of Americans are and how their backgrounds effect those opinions. It's interesting information brought to us by a short, impartial Politico article. Don't get so worked up about it.
It doesn't have to be "deep south Alabama" conservative to be a red state.
What I'm saying is that it's not conservative enough to make that a landslide on its own. It could very well turn out that way, but that wouldn't really be why. Kansas is also a red state. So is Oklahoma.
Mother fucking this. You and others always come into the threads about Bernie and just, its not even, "I disgree here my facts" and more like a long a fuck release of shit over anyone who wants to hope.
Mother fucking this. Where are you even getting this from? If the article said "these delegates will help push Bernie to victory" or something similar it'd be deluded, sure, but there's literally nothing in the article suggesting that. People are now grasping at straws to paint people as grasping at straws, which is pretty new
There are ALOT of people sad that Bernie lost. Responding to good news is "sad and pathetic". Really?
I don't really think that's the point? Responding to good news is "sad and pathetic". Really?
Well you see good mod you have to understand that being edgy requires shitting on everything and speaking with contempt to anyone who has hope.
I don't really think that's the point? Responding to good news is "sad and pathetic". Really?
I've been fucking harassed on my own visitor message page just for saying I felt like Sander's wasn't going to win and that I wanted to vote for Hiliary. He told me to be afraid to post, I'm not even kidding. At this point I'm getting tired of even trying to post here in this sub forum because I'm with every other realist that knows Bernie gave it his best, but Hiliary cleary has had a lead over him since last tuesday. Every other article has just been folks either trying to find some blame for Bernie's loss, or finding anything to make it sound like Bernie has some chance still. I don't even fucking hate Sanders, I voted for him, I just knew in my gut since before super Tuesday that there was a good chance Hiliary would just win the primary anyway. Doesn't help that I knew there was going to be a bunch of upset people once they heard that Sander's didn't power punch through Super Tuesday like they'd hoped. Worse I'm upset at seeing folks still calling Hiliary, Shilary and other immature things just because of a decade long smear campaign from the Republicans taking advantage of her email scandal. Even worse at seeing folks ironically wanting to vote for Trump to "mess up the system to wake folks up", like everyone will actually notice this and we'll Les'Miserables this country back to shape again. So I'm sorry if I'm just being realistic and expecting Hiliary to win despite Sanders getting small victories. But until I hear the news say Sanders got a HUGE victory that gives him a chance again, I'm just hearing folks grasping at straws. If Sanders wins this primary like Obama did, even though I find that really rare, or some other way, then hey good, I 'm glad. If not, at least I didn't set myself up for major disappointment and got ready for a Hilary victory as well. idk why it's necessary to come into every thread to say how you feel sanders has less of a chance now than ever like yeah... we know man
how sensitive are you, dude? jeez.
I'm not, I'm just explaining myself because I post once in this kind of thread and everyone get's on me.
[QUOTE=Pvt. Wow it's like Americans living outside of America realize the rest of the world isn't a Mad Max shithole.

slightly offtopic- I don't know how I got on the bernie mailing list, but the titles are always great
