I fail to see how it's pathetic. Imagine you're at the lowest point in your life, and then multiply it by a million. You have no idea what it's like to have estranged children and an estranged wife and never get a chance to see them. You have no idea the kind of pain it could inflict on a person's soul. Maybe you have some grasp of how it could affect a person - I'm sure you've been through your own personal shit - but clearly you don't have a large enough grasp.
It's people like you who create this taboo on suicide that people don't ever wanna talk about it. If they're feeling suicidal, they don't want to bring their problems to people. Otherwise they're seen as "weak" and "pathetic".
Maybe if you weren't so fast to call it "pathetic", people wouldn't be so slow to go for help.

Okay that was funny. Imagine two cop dudes taking a break outside their car on a road in the middle of a forest when a decapitated guy in a truck comes squeaking down the road past them on fire.
It would be pretty painful, I don't care what anyone says. The car has to speed up, but there's a slight delay between the time he hits the gas and the time it hits fast enough to decapitate him. So he'd still be alive through that brief amount of time.
I feel so bad for people that kill themselves, but I don't think to myself "Why?", because I've been in positions before where I've felt suicidal. I understand it every bit.
