Two things - - GDP =/= "the economy" - I wish we would leave the EU
We don't need to leave the EU. We would be fine if we regulated our banks like Scandinavia did. Besides, some of the work laws are really useful.
Greece, Spain, Portugal and Ireland should all be below GB [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline]
We don't need to leave the EU. People stop fucking trying to do your "official studies" on Facepunch for fuck sakes. It's a survey based on GDP, nothing more. /thread

:saddowns:
Meh, number 13. Czech Republic was lately always somewhat average in Europe.
There's a reason for letting Ukraine join the EU, that way Britain won't be the worst :v:
How is Italy 11 when I remember the news talking about Portugal Spain and Italy also potentially being in trouble when shit went wrong in Greece?
How is Italy 11 when I remember the news talking about Portugal Spain and Italy also potentially being in trouble when shit went wrong in Greece?
this study only focuses on the national deficit as a percentage of gdp there are other factors at work which elevates the uk economy as a whole out of the shitheap it's so perilously close to
And norway was all like "EØS suckaz"
Not much of a surprise that we're the worst of the bunch. Hell we've been taking a nose dive straight towards the pavement ever since our glory days ended.
Yay too bad I'm not rich. [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline]
And norway was all like "EØS suckaz"
Norway was like "No" in the election
Dsfargeg
Norway is a member of the EØS which is bascially the EU with the exception of certain rules and regulations. We don't appear in polls or statistics about the EU because of this.
I like it how the article was written by a Swedish person.
And yet we just gave £7 billion to bail out a country which isn't even a part of Britain.
This is problaly because you swedes like to work in Norway because our salary is so high and you guys take your money back to sweden, where it's worth like kabillions of money.
Didn't the UK and the EU just bail out ireland? How can the UK bail out a country if we have a worse economy?

Didn't the UK and the EU just bail out ireland? How can the UK bail out a country if we have a worse economy?
Lets loan some money to Ireland. Guys look at the books, what money? So the UK, who is currently borrowing money to stay afloat, is lending some of borrowed money to Ireland. :raise:
The main thing nobody has pointed out is that these are projected figures for the end of this year and if they are anything like previous projected figures they will be miles wrong. Show me the figures for 2010 in 2011 then we will talk.
Norway is a member of the EØS which is bascially the EU with the exception of certain rules and regulations. (European Economic Area, not EØS which would be Norwegian and standing for "Europeiske Økonomiske Samarbeidsområde"). Fint at du følger med i samfunnsfagen, i hvertfall.
Time to leave this failure we call the EU.
7th :toot: [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline] Just look at how small we are :v:
Time to leave this failure we call the EU.
For god sake. This crisis was caused by the BANKS and the lack of banking regulation from governments, not the EU. If anything the EU is the only reason Greece and Ireland are getting so much money.
Grekland doesn't have the worst economy ? I am feeling optimistic again.
Rank #1 bitchezzz
