Good lad
camo ar-15 OC man has turned himself in, probably for his own safety
He probably didn't know he was a person of interest until very recently.
A bullet hits you, you're fucked unless you're real lucky. It's not a video game where an M16 is guaranteed to knock of 20hp. That type of rifle is effective over 500m; The locations in which casualties occurred are well within that distance from each of the shooters' positions.
Adding onto this, getting shot anywhere can end up being lethal if you hit an artery. Any weapon can kill, no matter how big or small. All you need to know is where to aim.
You can't really judge a small arm by the report. An AR-15 will sound the same as any other intermediate cartridge rifle through a microphone.
There are a lot of AR-15s in Texas, though. It's not impossible or even unlikely. Just not a good idea to start guessing.
Huh. I listened to an actual one firing and then listened to what some of the gunshots in one of the twitter videos sounded like, and thought they sounded a lot like each other. But I trust you.
another suspect who was in shoot out with police supposedly turned themselves in
Sniper was possibly misidentified

See, this is exactly what I'm fucking talking about. Everyone needs to stop jumping on shit before anyone knows what's going on, all you're going to do is cause trouble.
camo ar-15 OC man has turned himself in, probably for his own safety
Really sucks for him, imagine just minding your own business and finding out about this
See, this is exactly what I'm fucking talking about. Everyone needs to stop jumping on shit before anyone knows what's going on, all you're going to do is cause trouble.
Im sorry, but people have a right to question if the guy holding a god damn rifle during an ACTIVE SHOOTING might be the shooter.
See, this is exactly what I'm fucking talking about. Everyone needs to stop jumping on shit before anyone knows what's going on, all you're going to do is cause trouble.
The police themselves released pictures of him. Nobody was jumping on shit.
What are they trying to do, start a race war? I'd be surprised if this is related to blm. This has to be some nuts or people who hate the west or something. Why would a citizen kill their own police officers?
Doesn't matter if they're related or not they will inject themselves into this whole situation for any coverage.
Huh. I listened to an actual one firing and then listened to what some of the gunshots in one of the twitter videos sounded like, and thought they sounded a lot like each other. But I trust you.
Even under more favorable conditions for comparison an AR-15 will sound the same as a Mini-14 or any other .223 with the same barrel length.

Damn, it would suck to be that guy in the middle of all this.
Sure picked a bad day to exercise his 2nd Ammendment rights.
Really sucks for him, imagine just minding your own business and finding out about this
Sounds like he's doing the right things so far to keep himself clear of suspicion and accusation.

DPD confirms a 4th officer is dead, POI with the AR from the picture turned himself in, another alleged suspect who was in a shootout with officers is now in custody, and after discovering a suspicious package near his location, DPD bomb squad units have been called in.
Probably because they are totally different. The stories of cops shooting black people are a mix of extremely grey evidence either way or individual cops overreacting.
This is a planned assault targeted at police officers. When you hear about a group of cops planning an attack on black people, and other cops agreeing with and approving said attack, then we'll talk.
-snip probably a better place to discuss this-
3-way holding on channel 1. Whatever that means?
So he (very likely) wasn't actually involved?
I feel bad for suspecting him, but you have to admit it's a hell of a coincidence.
And at least people figured it out within a few hours.
It's already been well researched and is only now coming to light that many police departments are corrupt in this country to the point where they purposefully enter low income neighborhoods and profile. Black men are punished far more severely for similar crimes committed by white caucasian males. All of this has been well documented. Look at the number of police killings in the last year compared to have many people the cops have killed. 10:1 is the answer.
My family comes from apart of India that has very well documented corrupt policing. In Punjab, Sikhs were profiled and killed in 'fake encounters' for crimes that never happened in order to give a perception that Sikhs and Punjab was a deplorable place in search of 'terrorists'. They were purging our families and friends. This was all supported by the government too. Frustrated young men who lost their families joined the militancy looking for freedom, and some parts of these militants were very extreme. They even blew up an airliner going from Canada.
My point is that with my culture and families history of oppression by a government entity like the police, I know exactly how this cycle of hatred works. Trust me a lot of police officers were killed in Punjab, many corrupt and some who were good and had families. People were desensitized after feeling dehumanized by the very entity that was supposed to protect and serve them. They stripped us of our rights and identity. There are a lot of parallels for me to how African Americans are treated and I understand the rage, and hatred. I do not stand by it, but I understand it. So if you cannot see both sides then there will never be a time to 'talk' nor a proper discussion on the issues that caused this situation in the first place.
Again I implore you to take a higher ground and to not shrug off the oppression and violence the black community has faced, and I am not asking you to marginalize this tragedy either. Both sides must be seen, this is a much more complex issue than how black and white you are seeing it. This goes backs decades, and spans generations upon generations of a deeply ingrained insecurity and hatred amongst people that make up a very large percentage of our population. Also do not forget the Civil Rights movement wasn't that long ago, many of these peoples parents and grand parents remember.
Is this the god damn time or the god damn place, friend?
camo ar-15 OC man has turned himself in, probably for his own safety
Kudos. Seems like he'd rather just not drag anything out

So... about those cops pre planning the murder of black people? You seem to just be strawmanning. I won't respond again, this isn't the place.
CNN says PD might of found bomb, buts its CNN

Yeah glad things got cleared up before any idiots trying to play online detective did any damage like they did back during the boston bombing.
in response to all the firearm speculation
any rifle firing 5.56, 7.62x39, or any other intermediate round will sound the same on video. most likely is an ar-15 or sks just based on abundancy but it's impossible to tell from the video. wait for officials to state what it is before you go off spouting firearm names everywhere

I'm glad he saw it was important to minimize false reports and gave his rifle to law enforcement. Hope it's returned to him. No idea how these things work.
Reddit live feed on the shootings says Marshals are on the scene of the shootout where the suspicious package was found near the suspect's position.

EDIT: FOX stream's saying the same now.

We don't even know what is happening, who, or why right now.
Climb of your soap box consisting of corpses and wait for information before you politicize this for your own needs. It is 110% not the place.
I understand why they posted the picture trying to find that guy. Same reason I get why they apprehended that guy wearing body armor. Cops can have probable cause.
It's incredibly responsible and fortunate that the guy with the AR in those pictures surrendered it to police and turned himself in at the onset of all this.
Was this just social media or social media + the news?
The Police named him as a likely suspect in a press conference, I believe. So, I guess they used social media for tips and went with it?
