Where were you for the first 18 pages? "Hopefully this is the downfall of BLM" was okay, or only when someone has a different view?
Aren't they still there protesting though? I too would question the legitimacy of a movement group that hates cops actively protesting in an ongoing shootout that targets cops.
what the fuck is happening on that fox kdfw stream
It's never synced for me. Does anyone have a link to another stream?
There hasn't been a cop shot in the DPD since 2009, apparently. Then this shit happens.
CNN is showing a video of the shooter right now
That all being said though political discussions and arguments about the merits of BLM and movements like it would probably be best left until this has actually ended and we know about motive and who the suspects actually are. Just as good as it is to coerce people into taking the higher ground and looking at both sides of the issue rationally is to wait to judge this tragedy until we know more about why it happened.
I agree, I reacted and posted about taking the higher ground because I went through pages and saw posts senselessly bashing BLM and protestors before any information had even been released. My posts were probably left better for a different thread in discussions the rationale of everything going on, but there have been too many times where I've seen zero rationale in these threads and people simply taking one side.
It's never synced for me. Does anyone have a link to another stream?
for a moment the stream minimized to a browser window, a cursor refreshed the page, then an ad played. seems like it may be more in sync now
Someone on reddit said "Police reform is the end goal, shooting police is not police reform" and I really agree with that. If we want to combat the issues of our force then it needs to be done constructively. I really hope this incident doesnt set back that sentiment too much, from both sides.
Jesus dick, this is the last kind of thing any of us needed. Any word on the perps?
STOP INTERRUPTING SHIT YOU FUCKERS God damn Fox stream cut back to the idiots at the studio.
What stream should I be watching right now
Posts like these are why I never speak on sensitive matters like this on facepunch. You can go look through my post history, I never do. My posts are directly aimed at those who would incriminate everyone who is apart of peaceful protesting and a larger grass roots movement (BLM) that has no formal leadership and put the blame on them. People who are just posting screenshots from twitter as some sort of rhetoric to fuel anger and disdain towards it.
I don't like what BLM has become, but I support the core message. I also agree that people here scream about not lumping groups of people together and then do so immediately when it's convenient. Its bullshit.

You come from a position of experience and I appreciated what you had to say. Your comments would definitely be more than welcome and would be better appreciated when we know more. But yeah, denouncing the whole for the actions of a few is the wrong way to go and is why this happened in the first place. Its hypocrisy at its finest.
What stream should I be watching right now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mq5hrUDoYo fox stream. Seems pretty good, so far.
Jesus dick, this is the last kind of thing any of us needed. Any word on the perps?
Two for sure, possibly up to three, one in custody. One false positive that turned himself in and was cleared. I heard one was killed but can't find the source on that now and don't want to spread bullshit so take that with a grain of salt.
Fox stream is almost unwatchable for whatever reason. My connection is fine but the video is garbage quality. [editline]7th July 2016[/editline] http://www.fox4news.com/live This is the stream I'm watching btw, there's something going on.
CNN has video of the shooter engaging people
If you think that the actions of a few bad cops don't resent all cops then you can't say that the actions of the shooters represent all BLM.
holy shit, that video footage of the shooter skirmishing with a cop
Yes, this is an absolute tragedy. But, an interesting comment on my feed that I want to share. Food for thought:
I cant help but notice how there is soo much more public outcry and nonnegotiable condemning over the murders of these Officers, but never even half of the propensity for this level of outcry for the murders of Black people. When we are murdered its much more negotiable. There has to be a time period to wait until the facts come out, but when Cops are killed.. Its understood that Cops are not to be killed under no circumstances. The individuals responsible for shooting in Dallas will be charged, indicted and convicted.. that's if they live to see court. We we still be left will unwarranted Black death though.

It's never synced for me. Does anyone have a link to another stream?
It's only synced for me when the orange lady is on.

I also agree that people here scream about not lumping groups of people together and then do so immediately when it's convenient. Its bullshit.
Yeah you hit the nail on the head here. Anything as decentralized as a hashtag (see: OWS) is bound to catch some unfavorable figures and its happened to BLM more than other movements. Instead of having this incident fuel more violence and fire and hatred in that movement I hope they take this as a chance to turn things around and be more constructive. This is absolutely their time to step up and be mature about this and get shit done, they had better not fuck it up
the shooter looks like they have tactical training
The dude that shot the footage said the shooter stood over a cop and executed him
Yes, this is an absolute tragedy. But, an interesting comment on my feed that I want to share. Food for thought:
there's probably more outcry because this is an active mass shooting
CNN has video of the shooter engaging people
Link? I'm not seeing it on the homepage.
holy shit, that video footage of the shooter skirmishing with a cop
Is there a link to said footage?
Is there a link to said footage?
it just played here, skip back a couple minutes https://video.foxnews.com/v/2553565094001/kdfw---local-coverage-of-police-shot-in-dallas/?#sp=watch-live
Considering the quality of your posts so far, you should keep that up.
Have you added anything useful except to talk to me in a condescending tone? If you think there's a fallacy in something I said feel free to PM me. I'm not even arguing anything here except that keep the protestor/BLM hate rhetoric out of here. I went about it in a manner that didn't belong for discussion here, and I could have been more concise. I hope you're able to at least read the content of what somebody posts and discern their intentions appropriately. Nothing productive comes from being haughty on an internet forum.
One killed? I think I missed that.
Yahoo quotes the chief as saying three dead, ten hit, two more severely wounded and in surgery right now https://ca.news.yahoo.com/shots-fired-dallas-protest-over-fatal-police-shootings-030733545.html
