Yeah you hit the nail on the head here. Anything as decentralized as a hashtag (see: OWS) is bound to catch some unfavorable figures and its happened to BLM more than other movements. Instead of having this incident fuel more violence and fire and hatred in that movement I hope they take this as a chance to turn things around and be more constructive. This is absolutely their time to step up and be mature about this and get shit done, they had better not fuck it up
I have an issue with BLM upstaging other movements and its general anti-police stance It has a very simple, middleschoolish take on a really really complex issue
Fox stream is almost unwatchable for whatever reason. My connection is fine but the video is garbage quality. [editline]7th July 2016[/editline] http://www.fox4news.com/live This is the stream I'm watching btw, there's something going on.
NBC5 was a bit better for me. For those not from the area, our local stations are Fox 4 NBC 5 WFAA/ABC 8 CBS 11
If you think that the actions of a few bad cops don't resent all cops then you can't say that the actions of the shooters represent all BLM.
Lmao this is coming from someone who said everyone involved in GG was transphobic because of a few 8chan posts.
there's probably more outcry because this is an active mass shooting
Of course. It's not that hard to realize that there's a difference between a black man being shot because of an overreaction by a police officer in a tense situation (the vast majority of instances) and a premeditated terrorist attack against cops.
Is there an alternative youtube stream to the fox stream? I can't stand the Banter between the two in the cramped corner.
Somebody has apparently hacked Dallas' police services channel 12 and is streaming it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRBJf7xf8T8 Not sure if this is real or not, seems awfully quiet for a tactical channel.
Guy that has the video of the shooter on CNN says the shooter shot the cop exicution style multiple times after he had initially shot the officer.
there's probably more outcry because this is an active mass shooting
There'd be less public outcry if only 1 police officer was killed? I think you are right (the mass nature of the shooting is definitely adding something to the conversation), but still missing the forest for the trees with the quote.
holy shit, that video footage of the shooter skirmishing with a cop
Link?!
Have you added anything useful except to talk to me in a condescending tone? If you think there's a fallacy in something I said feel free to PM me. I'm not even arguing anything here except that keep the protestor/BLM hate rhetoric out of here. I went about it in a manner that didn't belong for discussion here, and I could have been more concise. I hope you're able to at least read the content of what somebody posts and discern their intentions appropriately. Nothing productive comes from being haughty on an internet forum.
He does this all the time, just take the higher ground and dont respond

Both shooters in custody according to fox
Yes, this is an absolute tragedy. But, an interesting comment on my feed that I want to share. Food for thought:
But there's always an absurd amount of outcry created from black victims what the hell how can you start an argument about this sort of thing when there's a mass shooting going on like the actual fuck
Considering the quality of your posts so far, you should keep that up.
you're not helping either by acting this way tbh
I don't like what BLM has become, but I support the core message. I also agree that people here scream about not lumping groups of people together and then do so immediately when it's convenient. Its bullshit.
yeah basically what I was trying to say, I should have been more concise
If you think that the actions of a few bad cops don't resent all cops then you can't say that the actions of the shooters represent all BLM.
No, you're right, but what I can say is most cops don't celebrate or advocate murder. BLM is already fucking trash without that aspect.
Holy shit.
jfc, someone wake me up
But there's always an absurd amount of outcry created from black victims what the hell how can you start an argument about this sort of thing when there's a mass shooting going on like the actual fuck
I'm not starting an argument, im just adding what I feel is necessary counter-discourse to a thread where a bunch of people have called BLM a terrorist organization.
http://go.cnn.com/?stream=cnn
Thanks a bundle, that fox stream was driving me insane.
I'm not starting an argument, im just adding what I feel is necessary counter-discourse to a thread where a bunch of people have called BLM a terrorist organization.
Like one guy said that.
Somebody has apparently hacked Dallas' police services channel 12 and is streaming it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRBJf7xf8T8 Not sure if this is real or not, seems awfully quiet for a tactical channel.
It has to be fake.
I have an issue with BLM upstaging other movements and its general anti-police stance It has a very simple, middleschoolish take on a really really complex issue
Stuff like the toronto stop and that vigil thing were very misspent efforts imo and only hurt their movement. I think that what transpires over the next couple of days in response to both the recent deaths by the hands of police and this tragedy will be what defines BLM as a movement. I can only hope they do it right and make their impact a positive one.
Both suspects in custody - Fox News

it just played here, skip back a couple minutes https://video.foxnews.com/v/2553565094001/kdfw---local-coverage-of-police-shot-in-dallas/?#sp=watch-live
Ah, can't go back far enough. I'm sure it'll come out at some point. Thanks though.
I'm not starting an argument, im just adding what I feel is necessary counter-discourse to a thread where a bunch of people have called BLM a terrorist organization.
Little to noone said BLM was a terrorist organization. They have a lot of radicalized members though, so if anyone actually believes in the initial message BLM was getting across they shouldn't associate themselves with BLM
Surprised they let themselves be taken alive.
A lot of US police radio is analog and completely unencrypted, even during really important stuff like the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev manhunt I remember people were listening in to the whole thing
I remember listening in on it back when it was happening as well.
Surprised they let themselves be taken alive.
This is going to be a very interesting trial, no matter who they are
Shit, this sucks This is really going to shake up our political environment for the next few weeks
http://go.cnn.com/?stream=cnn
I'm really surprised that they let me watch this as a Canadian. 99% of American networks prevent me from watching TV stuff on the internet. [editline]49[/editline] oh...
