They're not trying to loot. They're being rowdy but it's more likely police stood there as a counter measure just in case it would escalate to that.

If they manage to take the fourth alive, it'll be amazing. 3/4 in a situation like this is a serious show of competency, but 4/4... I already knew DPD doesn't fuck around but this is something else.

If there's no debate, rational conversation or objective analysis about controversial topics, the worst actors on both sides become empowered, and behavior starts getting more extreme. Those who are quieted feel indignatious about their valid viewpoints being ignored and quelled unjustly, and feel that or even need to resort to more extreme behavior to express their discontent, which is only amplified by it's unjust suppression. Likewise, the already extreme behavior on the "empowered" side gets ever more extreme, as they're given more and more room to act, as nobody holds them accountable to their doings. This is why I have a hunch these attackers were at the very least associated with BLM. BLM has a history of violence and encouraging/allowing extreme behavior and beliefs, they officially tweeted encouraging vigilante "justice" this morning, and through a gross misfortune of the public space, nobody has ever held them accountable for their worst actors, which only makes them ever more extreme. The historical precedent is clear. This has happened many times in history, from the nazi party to the soviets, both brewed under identical circumstances to their far less extreme contemporary counterparts. Anything other than honest, open and uncensored/unshamed debate has [I]never[/I] ended well.
