Have they gotten any statements from the captured shooters?
we're probably not going to get any statements or pictures of the perpetrators until after this has concluded
"NO MILITARIZATION OF POLICE!"
*police obey*
"DETH 2 POLISES!!!"
I wouldn't be surprised if nationwide police armed themselves better until things calm down. Hell, where I live the PD notified officers to not leave home without a firearm and to BOLO.
"Suspect is shot multiple times. Robot will go in before recovery of suspect per Fox News 4"
Have they gotten any statements from the captured shooters?
According to that reddit news feed, the suspects aren't being very cooperative. One of them said there were bombs everywhere but that might've been a lie.
Guessing its going to be a half-mast week in light of this shit.
Hoping the other officers pull through this.

Nope, they haven't talked at all since caught.
Can someone tell me everything currently known? This shit is hard to follow currently.
You know who's fault this is? The media's. Every chance they get they make it about race and the cop's fault even before they have details. And they run with it. Non stop, constantly, and NEVER apologize for being wrong when they are. And this is going to be no different
Queue that Charlie Booker Newswipe clip about when just school shootings where the thing news liked to drag out for days and weeks at a time.

The latter seems to be a few seconds ahead and louder, but otherwise I believe they're the same.
the reason i am leaning on some form of combat experience is how they seem to be keeping collected when under intense pressure. that could theoretically be trained in but it is best gained through actual experience.
could also be from some form of drugs, though, as previously stated
I'm not denying the possibility but I'm not going to agree and assume anything especially since I have experience to the contrary.
Those courses aren't worth jack unless you do them over and over again. The last time I did MOUT training it was a week long, a solid week of repeating the same shit over and over again so you just do it without thinking.
Now there's still a chance they're not military, but they didn't just attend a $400 8 hour course to react like that.
I think the idea behind the courses are you practice what you learned in the time between taking them, or at least that's been my approach to it and I regularly clear my house and property just to keep practice up. No, I don't think this gives me some super tacticool operator skills but then again we're discussing a guy who started going one way and then he didn't, it's not like we're talking about something that couldn't be figured out on the fly.
Everyone already assumed that open carry dude was a shooter and it turned out to be completely wrong, I think it's prudent to avoid falling into that trap again.
Name of first officer killed released, Joined in 2009, was first DART officer slain ever.

..there's a significant difference between assuming its a vet and assuming the suspect was someone on the street, namely it doesn't really affect any bystanders if its a vet

true. as always, it is good to have multiple people with multiple points of view examining these events when we're in speculation town

Except we have video of this guy, dude.
No normal psycho shooter moves like that.
Also, yeah, we assumed he might've been involved because he had a rifle, right before a shooting.
I mean yeah we could be wrong but still.

Edit: DART Mis-spoke, One DART officer dead, four Dallas PD officers dead.
God, 6 dead.
It keeps getting worse.
Channel 12 scanner stream is down. I imagine something big is about to happen, then, and the streamer cut the feed so no one could listen in.
