Only found out about this four hours ago... then spent the next hour contacting my friends in the DFW area.

So yeah if it wasn't clear by now, the Dallas Police Department is getting sued for how they treated the guy in the camo and his brother.
The facts:
- The man in the camo willingly turned his weapon in to police in fear of being mistaken for a suspect.
- He was detained and questioned.
The claims:
- The police treated him and his brother like a suspect. Asking him questions like "Do you have a desire to kill cops?"
- The police denied him from seeing an attorney.

Gunmen made a coordinated attack on police officers during a BLM protest.

An unknown amount of unknown people used an unknown amount of weapons to kill 5 cops, 2 initially during a BLM protest (suggested fired from elevated positions as in 'snipers') and 3 more during the shootout and standoff between the cops, unknown but into the dozens tally of wounded police officers, and at least 1 confirmed wounded civilian. guy from the pic was stranded during the standoff, so he approached a cop and said he had nothing to do with it and handed over his weapon. Cops asked him to come to station 'to be on the safe side' and later on detained him and questioned him (according to him without allowing him a lawyer) when he was released he asked for his personal possessions back (including the gun) and was arrested again there and then. (also according to him)
