Well I'd assume he was hospitalized that's why people thought he was dead. But there was a twitter alert on his page saying he's still fighting. Now there was an announcement that he died this morning at 7:45AM

He didn't die that night, he died this morning. When this thread was made in all likelihood he was probably still alive, but now he is dead.
Today is a very sad day for us all :(
His facebook says he died, but his twitter doesn't.
