On one hand I find it to be quite a ripoff, but on the other at least there won't be many with it so it becomes quite unique.
Actually they should totally have 1 car that costs €50000, that way those that do buy it have a pretty unique vehicle for sure (this 100$ car isn't either, it's stupidly expensive for what it is and won't even be very unique).
The idea of a in game fuel that boosts your speed or other stats by X% doesn't really seem to far fetched to be honest.
EA Store: Now selling Nitro-Diesel, with 50% more mileage per gallon and 10% more drift! Only $4 per gallon (Disclaimer; may cause random explosions).
Speaking of fuel, going a wee bit offtopic here, would a driving/racing MMO with a theme of environmental impact, like places getting more arid and sea-levels rising if more people use fuel with a high pollution rating, be a good concept for a game? The tracks/world would get harder with higher pollution levels, with risen seas and acid rain being a few of the environmental hazards that may strike.
I bought it
was it worth it?
I could see a hundred dollar DLC if it offers, say, a hundred cars. A car per dollar seems to work well. But for just one Koeniggsegg? Glad I don't play NFS:World.
EA Store: Now selling Nitro-Diesel, with 50% more mileage per gallon and 10% more drift! No, no it wouldn't. It would be fucking awful. Cars aren't going to do that in real life anyway, making a game with that feature will just lose the devs money.
Fucks sake EA is fucking insane I am so tired of them oh my god alala

While apocalyptic racing game sounds fun, the way you're presenting it sounds as preachy as something PETA would make.
Wow I didn't even know about this game...
[editline]16th December 2011[/editline]
Wow the "How to play page" comes down to "U GIBE MONY"
[editline]16th December 2011[/editline]
The handling feels crappy, so do collisions but it's kinda fun, a sort of arcade feel... Oh and everyone is terrible, because I won 3 races in a row with some crappy Toyota

put this in OP, the car in question

Such a shame, NFS World could have been a good game if it wasn't for the pay2win bullshit.
Watch out Railworks, you got a contender for dumbest DLC packs
Pay-to-win to its finest
Guys you are overreacting. It's on sale for $75.
You know it's odd how nobody ever exploited the idea of expansion packs like this.
I mean yeah there are differences between the two but $100 is $100.
I'll take eight! :zoid:
god dammit why did i pay for this game.
I bought it way back when it first released.
1. the removed level cap
2. removed ability to upgrade cars with like any effect without paying
3. 90% of items are now premium cash
4. now this car.

Holy fucking shit this is pay to win at its motherfucking finest.
god damn EA what the hell were you thinking.
Oh shit, EA has raised the bar.
Let's see how Activision responds. Maybe with a $100 CoD map pack?
Elite Edition M-4 with extended mags and ACOG
Im going to be so fucking angry if they do this to BF3...
For those money I could've bough 2 real cars (I'm not joking) and still have money left for a cake and a bottle of grape tonic, and I'd have SO much more fun with them that with some overpowered game car.
I was about to say, "Deal with it, nobody's making you buy it," but this pay2win bullshit is incredibly dumb.
Why would EA intentionally break their game like that? Players are going to enter a race, see one of those cars in the lineup, and disconnect because there's no point in trying. They are going to lose business. In fact, masses are going to just quit playing all together.
The only reason I see for this is they know this game is dying so they might as well go out with a bang and maybe make a couple hundred bucks off it as well.
At last count, EA's free-to-play racer Need for Speed World had garnered more than 5 million users.
100 bucks!? BITCH, DO YOU KNOW WHAT I CAN GET FOR THAT MONEY?
I could buy 2 brand new games.
Or 20 games that are on sale.
Goddamn this is even worse than that EVE microshit.
The same shit is happening on Battlefield : Heroes.
All their F2P games are good at first.
They become Pay 2 Win, I've got a good excuse not to play Need for Speed World anymore, at all.
See, with $100 DLC they only need a few morons to make a large amount of money
quotes
Yeah and 4 million of them are Brazilian.
Yeah and 4 million of them are Brazilian.
Who, as we all know, aren't people.
Oh, its on sale for $75. $100 IS JUST UNREASONABLE.
