Uh no, he was pretty batshit insane. If you have done any reading about what his cause was (helter skelter) you would understand.
Basically he believed that the black man was going to take over (due to the prevalence of the black panther party at the time) and Charlie was convinced that he and his 'family' would have to stop it. They first killed the LaBiancas and wrote on the wall a message that lead the police to believe that the black panthers were responsible. Then the night when he had Tex, Susuan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkle and another girl (who was actually acquitted because she proved she had done nothing and helped convict Charlie) he told them to go to Sharon Tate's house and 'kill anyone there in the most brutal way.'
He did all of this because he was convinced the black man was about to take over. After the black man took over (apparently it was inevitable), Charlie would retreat to the desert into an infinite sinkhole and some amount of time until their numbers massed to 144,000 (which had something to do with Revelations in the bible), and then Charlie would come up and tell the black man to get back to picking cotton.
If that's not crazy, I don't know what the fuck is

Also, about how you said Charles Manson never killed anyone:
Read about Donald 'Shorty' Shea. Tex Watson, as well as many other members of the family claim that Charlie was in fact the one who beheaded him, and he was actually convicted of murdering him.
But! But! Charisma!!
Wow. There is actually a difference between State and Federal prisons. Article said There was a bill passed banning cell phones from Federal Prisons, but doesn't cover state ones.

God damn it, now I have to argue with someone who actually knows what the hell they're talking about.
He was, he is, he will ALWAYS be crazy. Full stop.
He hid it up his ass.

I just realized how much more hilarious it is that the camera guy follows his head around flawlessly.

You forgot to mention that he figured this out after hearing what he believed to be a subliminal message in a BEATLES SONG.

Helter Skelter.
People say he is a maniac....

.. but he made amazing music. :sigh:
Also, this isn't really news. Birds fly, sun shines, grass grows, the stockmarket crashes and Charles Manson is batshit crazy.
He still makes music.

Pretty lo-fi and still damn good.
You forgot to mention that he figured this out after hearing what he believed to be a subliminal message in a BEATLES SONG.
It wasn't just a song, it was the entire White Album, combined with Revelations in the bible.
God damn it, now I have to argue with someone who actually knows what the hell they're talking about.
yeah except i read helter skelter as well your argument was completely based on the premise that i'm not educated and nothing else
stop idolizing a lunatic

I'm not idolizing him.
Your argument is based on "He's an animal who's worse than a couple musicians I like."
I'm not idolizing him.
Your argument is based on "He's an animal who's worse than a couple musicians I like."
nope my argument is based on the fact that i think he's only done bad things for the world and nothing good obviously the point flew over your head dude
my moral system is centered around musicians because musicians are awesome
what is it to you anyway, why do you care if i hate charles manson?
what is it to you anyway, why do you care if i hate charles manson?
You disagree with me, so I argue against you.
I'm pretty sure this is what the word forum entails.
nope my argument is based on the fact that i think he's only done bad things for the world and nothing good
He's made good music.
lol no it's pretty bad
the only reason anyone is even considering it is because it's charles manson
so basically charles manson is in the same league as paris hilton who also has shitty music
still doesn't beat bjork and thom yorke, nope not even close
excuse me i have to go listen to birthday on repeat
lol no it's pretty bad
his music is actually pretty decent if you listen to it without thinking a crazed lunatic wrote it
[editline]15th February 2011[/editline]
that said, I'm not particularly fond of it because it's only good musically, and not so much in it's message
nope
that's fact
Technically it isn't great.
But I tend to see it about expressive abilities.
If you can't see it, then forget bothering.

Listen to his Air album. He isn't crazed, simply free spirited who was unlucky to be drawn as a maniac by society.
His music comes from within him, lyrically he can express what he feels.
I don't hear him saying "Fuck the world".
hmmm
even if people enjoy his music it doesn't matter much when it comes to the evil that he's actually done
i think he's done far more bad than good in any circumstance
hmmm

Still expression, regardless what the media make of him.
Seriously, I really don't care for his antics. Whatever he does is a result of something he can't seem to let out.
He wasn't given a fair trial, so I don't know why you condemn him.

because i find what he's done morally reprehensible
I just realized how much more hilarious it is that the camera guy follows his head around flawlessly.
I'm fairly certain that was done by whoever made the .gif.

This painting doesn't scream "fuck the word" to me, either.

There was overwhelming evidence that he ordered members of the family to murder several fucking people. Even he never denied this. Even if he never directly killed them, conspiracy to commit murder is also a crime.

Sorry, are you telling me this or thisispain? Because he's the one who's argument is based pretty heavily on opinions.
