My phone is 18 times faster than my PC...
80-90Mbps down, The-Site-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named claims my upload speed is 20Mbps I can't believe US ISPs get away with fucking over customers as badly as they do, especially when they're ballsy enough to add a usage cap on top of everything else.
sure i only get 4.6 down 1 up but i can piss outside and not get arrested
I'm getting 220 Mbps down with no cap so maybe I just live in an area where ISPs make something of an effort.
52mbps on Speedtest, and only 20mbps on Fast. Eat a dick, Comcast.
I'm on a Homing pidgeon and I have 80 km/h
Comcast gives me the same speed through both tests.
All I want to know is how much that domain must have costed common english word .com, that must be like a fortune
I prefer http://testmy.net/ since it gives you a real world result of what your internet speeds are. It doesn't give you an optimistic view, like speedtest, or this site.
Whoah, this is a great one. Thanks!

Why is speed test posting bannable? What's up?
Why is speed test posting bannable? What's up?
Because it's just obnoxious repetitive shit that happened in every thread that mentions the internet "oh boo hoo look at me with me >5 mbps internet" "look me me /comfy/ with my university internet" wish it happened too with gas prices back when every thread regarding automobiles had pages of people saying "it's this price here, I love it, I filled this car up!" "I live in europe, it's shit here." Also I don't even really need to test this to know that my speedtest results are totally bullshitted by my mobile carrier. I'll get like, 25 mbps which is pretty nice for mobile on speedtest. But then when I actually download something, 100-200 kbps.
Why is speed test posting bannable? What's up?
breaking the speed limit is against the law in most countries.

Fast.com was 5Mbps faster than Speedtest.net Anyways my ISP doesn't seem to throttle Netflix at all which is good.
This is the closest thing we've had to an idiot cull in a long time
Sitting at Hungry Bowie's and on ATT ( 4G LTE ) I get 14.7 down on speedtest and 9.3 on fast. On a Samsung Note 3. 9 is still enough to stream HD video. So not the worst thing in the world. Still annoying though since they already charge me out the ass for a few GBs AND they throttle me. Doesn't this violate net neutrality? I thought we ( the USA ) already passed something or reclassified internet to prevent this kinda crap. I guess I haven't been staying informed.
I only get 2.3MBit/s on fast.com, but nearly 30 on speedtest.net. What's going on?? (using Telekom Austria)
Wow, Suddenlink may be irredeemable garbage when it comes to reliability, implementing bandwidth caps without informing customers, and actually getting through to customer support - but they don't throttle Netflix. I'm actually surprised. Then again, this is technically a business connection, but still.
I get the same on both, Virgin Media are doing something right
http://i.imgur.com/r6jHRSr.png I know I'll be banned for this but I never realized how big the disparity could be since I don't use netflix. (User was banned for this post ("If you insist" - Novangel)) (User was banned for this post ("" - Novangel)) huh, so I did get banned for this.
I get speed numbers all over the place. Fast.com gives me an average of 41 mbps Speedtest gives me 88 mbps And my Steam downloads peak around 1mb/s
Why is speed test posting bannable? What's up?
because it's just something for everyone's e-dong brings out the elitism in internet service providers
32 mbps on fast, real speed is around 1.7 mbps
I always got weird results slower than what I'm paying for, but it turns out the shitty wiring in my house to my room specifically was the issue. If I move the PC elsewhere in the house and connect via ethernet there it works at the advertised speed. Just a heads up before anyone goes complaining to their ISP if they have wires going from the router in one room to the PC in another room. Also it's funny that the only people getting banned seem to be those posting pics of their speed test, the ones just writing it in text get off scot free.
Also it's funny that the only people getting banned seem to be those posting pics of their speed test, the ones just writing it in text get off scot free.
I suppose a broader interpretation of "post" can expand to text. :fp:
