I don't understand why everyone's so upset that there's no Xen yet, those levels weren't the most enjoyable anyway, and even without them the game's still ridiculously long.
And quit having doubts about whether this is real or not, I seriously doubt that this would be fake considering THERE'S A COUNTER ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
Well Lambda core is in the initial release, I'm assuming the Mod will end when you enter the portal.
We'll hopefully still get a glimpse during the resonance cascade
We'll hopefully still get a glimpse during the resonance cascade
Yeah, it would be stupid not to include it there.
Now to wait for Operation: Black Mesa
Stormseeker says "Sort of' regarding Xen and resonance Cascade

so have they fixed the god awful voice acting yet
and decided to go back on their fucking stupid "you all whined so now all grunts have gasmasks p.s. fuck you" stance yet too for that matter

First part, they said it was rerecorded, but it is still in the same Over the top style,
All grunts still have gas masks, except the Medics and Squad Leaders
so "no" then
not suprising
still, somewhat looking forward to the rest of it, because it does look pretty good
Right in time for my birthday.
It's a day after my birthday! I am pretty excited for this.
I thought the voices were funny

I don't understand, is it going to include Lambda Core? Or the game will cut at the descent?
I don't understand, is it going to include Lambda Core? Or the game will cut at the descent?
your computer will catch fire in the core
I was sure HL3 would come out before BMS.

It includes Lambda Core.
I'm surprised it came out before HL3.... truly amazing
Just in time for college classes too... I guess I know what my day will consist of September 14th.
Jesus, am I dreaming here??
No Xen till later huh? Man, that's FINE. It sounds like they have big plans for that, and if so, Xen isn't why I play Half Life anyway. I'll eagerly anticipate their doubtless big ideas for Xen, and in the meantime enjoy the updated Black Mesa itself, complete with all its cinematic physics and the new models and AI for stuff like the Gargantua.
I seriously can't believe they've managed it. I was honestly convinced they'd trapped themselves into a Duke-Nukem-Forever-style production hell, and were constantly updating their content to meet modern game standards so that they were incapable of moving forward. Glad to see they're where they want to be though. With the whole "Xen as its own game" stuff, it really sounds like they wanted to go the extra mile (or ten) to bring us the ultimate Half Life experience they could deliver, and not just a graphical/technical update of the original game verbatim. Yeah, they've taken a lot of flak for... well, doing everything Valve seems to do with release dates, but in the end, I think that will end up working to their credit rather than against it.
Amazing work BMS team, this will probably be the biggest thing modders have done in the history of gaming.
Put it on Steam Greenlight
Put it on Steam Greenlight
I'm surprised this hasn't been done yet.
I wonder how different it will be from the 2009 trailer, I will be comparing
Put it on Steam Greenlight
I'm not going to pay for a fucking mod, nor are they going to sell it as its a mod. They've repeatedly said that its free, nada.

you can distribute mods for free on steam
I'm not going to pay for a fucking mod, nor are they going to sell it as its a mod. They've repeatedly said that its free, nada.
There are a bunch of mods going for free distribution on Greenlight already
I wonder what Valve thinks of this. I'd be insulted.
I wonder what Valve thinks of this. I'd be insulted.
Why?
I wonder what Valve thinks of this. I'd be insulted.
Why would you be insulted?
"How dare you recreate this old great game you love with modern graphics and sound to make it even better than before, and then release it for totally free for the fans!"
I wonder how different it will be from the 2009 trailer, I will be comparing
One of Dev, Raminator said hes going to be releasing pictures comparing the 2009 build to the release one some time after release

Valve has no problems with it, they've talked about it before they they used to do Weekly Steam news updates.
Only problem they had was with the name, they asked the BM team to remove Source from the name, which they did.
Fans and news sites insist on calling it Black Mesa Source or BMS though.
