Money has no odor. If this whole affair managed to make 4chan donate to something they usually hate with a burning passion then I'd say there's at least one good thing that came out of this.

All this shit surrounding this charity is just making it more known for the better imo. Sure there are idiots who think the charity is fueling misogyny but those people dont matter. As shitty as it was to do this to the charity, I think in the long run it will help it and I doubt indiegogo is gonna keep it off, I mean it should be obvious to anyone by now that the ones who took it down wasnt the indieogogo staff. I seriously hope the money isnt lost though just because the indiegogo 404

Like it or hate it, TFYC actually has the potential to do a lot of good for gaming. That's one of the reasons why the 38 min interview is leaving such a bad taste in everyone's mouths. It really, really comes off as Zoe Quinn suppressing the project. You literally cannot deny the fact that Quinn had a public beef with them, and journalists cited the opinion of a particular person as the reason they denied coverage. It's honestly one of the reasons why so many SJ people are starting to throw up their hands and say "fuck it, fuck Zoe Quinn, i wish videogames was a building so i could burn it down with me in it." Everyone is unhappy now.

I really really wanted to minimize the odds of deletion from non-hostile communities, so prior to posting on SocialEntropy++, I messaged a moderator with permission to start a thread called Cringe-Worthy break up stories and made it explicitly clear that the starting post was going to be very long, and filled with screenshots of chat logs which didn't contain any sexually explicit content. The mod replied with something like "Sure, that doesn't sound like a terrible thing." They just hate the types of people always complaining about the lack of female developers. If there's talent behind a project, I don't think there's a single person on /v/ that would say "fuck that, it's made by a woman, it can't be good". Maybe /pol/ and /b/ but the people I've encountered from /v/ would never do something like that. Honestly I'm more surprised that /v/ put money into crowdfunding. Usually the majority of users despise "Kikestarters".

Something I find interesting about this whole debacle is that outside of the internet places like here, nobody knows who the fuck Zoe Quinn, Phil Fish, or anyone like that is. Go up to a random person in the street and it's pretty likely 9 times out of 10 nobody knows who the fuck these people are. Hell, I bet a few months from now except for 4chan nobody will know or care about who the fuck Zoe Quinn is or was.
