They're running as Republicans, aren't they? Isn't a limited government the cornerstone of Republican fucking politics? How "promiscuous" my culture is allowed to be? The Defense of Marriage Act currently serves to extend states' rights to define marriage on a state level. Crafting federal legislation to define marriage would take rights away from the states and make the federal government even more powerful. The conservative media would go nuts if Obama were to try anything like that. They'd go on and on about how Obama's anti-American because hes taking power away from the states. And yet Republicans get praise and support from the conservative media for doing the same thing! And another thing - anyone remember all those scandals that came about during the 2008 Presidential election?
