All these fucking cretins voting UKIP. I swear, it's only because people want out of Europe and don't realise they're voting UKIP on a ton of other issues too. Seriously, why would you ever vote for a party of homophobes and climate change deniers?
I'm still somewhat surprised that UKIP are doing as well as they have.
West Midlands is the first result where the Lib Dems aren't last! They're only fourth, well done :~)
Still no seats! I like how Plaid Cymru has a seat with their 0.84% and the Lib Dems cannot manage with 6%. (I know that PC only stand in Wales.. But its still amusing)
Seriously, why would you ever vote for a party of homophobes and climate change deniers?
Because like it or not, a lot of people only see immigrants coming in and cash going out. Cash people think would be going into their empty wallets and immigrants who fill our houses. They're not (all) cretins, just a lot of angry people who want answers. I don't really blame them for that attitude, it's pretty tough for a lot of people at the moment. It doesn't stop them being wrong and listening to a man with a big mouth who apparently has all the answers they want to hear, though. [editline]26th May 2014[/editline] How many 'counts' are there still in the UK? (338 atm)
Conservative Parties winning in the EU. What did you guys want to mirror the US?
Conservative policies can be just as effective as liberal ones. What you're referring to is shitty politicians, not their political beliefs.
This is pretty depressing. What's also bad is so many people I know are voting for UKIP and its just sad.
We have it so easy in life compared to other places, and yet we're so dumbfolded as to not see it. I can understand the rise of nazis during the biggest inflation ever in history, when you'd have to go with a truckload of money to buy a bread, but this? Most of west eu has $1.500+ minimum wages and $3.000+ average wages per month, a free market so that you can progress in your career the way you wish... all those perks that others are dying in the medditeranean to reach. And what do you do, you vote extremists. gg
This is pretty depressing. What's also bad is so many people I know are voting for UKIP and its just sad.
Populism always wins in hard times.
LIB DEMS GOT A SEAT NICK CLEGG CANCELS SUICIDE
Lib dems got a seat, finally. Feel sorry for them kinda. [editline]26th May 2014[/editline] So the only lib dem MEP happens to be one of my MEPs. Not sure how I feel about this.
I heard that if Ukip has it their way and a referendum decides that UK is out, then London would become something like singapore, and would remain in EU. By then, the scots would have probably been left the great britain, perhaps north ireland will join in a great ireland... And only when UK was exiting the recuperation phase from thatcher's massive closeoffs in the midlands etc. and actually getting better
Greens get a seat in the South East. And people said it was a wasted vote.
Clegg seriously has to go. They need full on damage control before the next election.
Greens get a seat in the South East. And people said it was a wasted vote.
there is never such a thing as a wasted vote [editline]26th May 2014[/editline] the "wasted vote" mentality is what got the U.S. into what they are now

Fuckin London need to hurry up with their result
well done cleggy shockingly enough when you shit where you eat and betray your only voting base, you lose everything
I don't know what's better about tonight? The fact that Ukip did so well or the fact that Labour and the Liberals did so badly.
I don't know what's better about tonight? The fact that Ukip did so well or the fact that Labour and the Liberals did so badly.
Hear you on the LibDems, but did Labour really do "so badly"?
It's looking like Labour will be pushed up to 2nd place by the London results. If they do come third then they're in real trouble [editline]26th May 2014[/editline] Labour was meant to be battling UKIP for first place, instead they're barely clinging on to second
Hear you on the LibDems, but did Labour really do "so badly"?
It's a year to the general election and they're perilously close to losing to the Conservatives in a national election.
I dread to think what the general election is going to be like.
Slightly worried that next year, UKIP might end up in a coalition or even forming a government. Unless their manifesto magically turns about 17 degrees left, it's going to be a big step backwards for the UK. Not surprised the Greens barely got anything. They might as well not exist as far as the media's concerned.
22 MEPs for UKIP, 2 for Green. Fuck this.
It's a year to the general election and they're perilously close to losing to the Conservatives in a national election.
Let's hope the Tories make a pact with UKIP like that one guy said.
It's struck me that European elections must be a fucking nightmare for news outlets. They have to explain so much shit in so little time - who's Syriza, who's the Front National, who's UKIP, what's going on in the other two dozen countries, why's this happening, how's it looking overall in the European Parliament, why are some countries taking so long to get results out, what does the European Parliament even do, what does this mean for the EU, what does this mean for my country, what does this mean for the next general election Explaining a single election in another European country is hard enough, with these you have to explain the party systems and political climates of 28 countries at once.
UKRIP
Let's hope the Tories make a pact with UKIP like that one guy said.
Oh God why would you say such a horrible thing.
So what's bad and whats good right now, you silly Europeans?
Oh God why would you say such a horrible thing.
It could get us out of the EU in the short term. We might not even need a referendum.
