I've got depression, lots of my friends have depression. This guy sought identity and purpose. Far right hatred and xenophobia gave him that identity and purpose. The extremists who spread hatred are Equally guilty of his crimes. Don't be a far right apologist and pretend the sick rhetoric didn't play some role in this.
It's an important thing to note. A group can 'demonize' without arguing for murder. For example, would Bernie Sanders be responsible for a person with mental issues murdering a banker? I don't think so. I don't even like Britain First, but you can't blame a group for conclusions or actions of people who have a history of mental instability.

Britain first preaches hatred and literal religious war. Nazis preach hatred and race war. Jihadi preachers hatred and religious war again. That's the difference between Bernie Sanders and an extremist. A sad lonely messed up person seeking identity might still latch onto a moderate cause but they're far less likely to kill if part of that identity is "no violence please" [editline]19th June 2016[/editline]
I would be depressed as well if I brooded as much about the far right and xenophobia as some here do. The guy is a fruitloop and vulnerable, much the same as the myriad fruitloop's that ISIS take advantage of to further their cause. This is how extremists work.
Yes seeking identity and purpose just like Isis nutters do. given identity by extremists just like Isis nutters. Believe in violence and hate just like Isis nutters. Far right extremism and extremist Islam are very similar. I'm so glad we agree!

I did a Google search and can't find an example of it. Everything I can find shows them trying to distance themselves from this murder, unlike ISIS and other Islamic extremist groups that celebrate murder.

Here's one where they claim to support "militant direct action", which doesn't sound particularly pleasant: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/sadiq-khan-britain-first-london-mayor-threaten-direct-action-a7047991.html

We're in trouble people. While we've been distracted we've allowed a extreme nationalism to breed in this country almost unchecked. I'm no longer worried about the random Islamist extremist, I'm worried about the nationalist, the Brexiter, the Britain First neanderthals, the BNP...
You can begin to understand how extremists start when you read stuff like this. Edit: All of the comments are insane, to be fair.

EDL being the English Defence League which has a long record of violence. They might not publically state it often but I've seen fliers in my area (West Yorkshire) advocating a white-only Britain and that we need to "fight back". Not to mention their facebook consistently reinforces the idea of aggressively "re-taking the country". Even if their higher ups aren't publicly advocating violence the majority of their followers and subordinates are openly racist/aggressive to anyone that isn't white.

IMO they're the same problem with a different coat of paint. Irrational hatred, extreme conservatism and violence against the mainstream. Both don't belong in this country and the world would be better without them.
I was at the MP's recall today in the house of commons, viewing from the public gallery. It was just by chance, me and my family were booked in with our local MP for a tour of Parliament today for the past month. But fuck dude, this was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen. While the MP's were giving their speeches, Jo Cox's husband, kids and parents were right in front of us in the main gallery the opposite side of the glass. They were incredibly composed, but seeing her husband with the kids, reading a book to the youngest one to keep her entertained, the the son just sitting there over watching was fucking devastating. It's seems like a real loss of someone who was just getting started in their political career. Incredible stuff today, the standing ovation to the husband and kids was something else.
