What a person chooses to wear or put on their body should not harm their teaching abilities
Still contradicting no matter how many there are when he mentions purity and that the addition of one is against it. Still avoiding too. [editline]22nd October 2014[/editline] uuh ok? you're here too??
Who cares if I'm avoiding Just because you say its contradicting, doesn't means it is. It's his opinion. If one isn't and an assload is, then so be it. Who are you to say its a contradiction if its his own idea? Do his ideas have a predefined set of rules? Difference is, I don't go out demanding answers from people and then disregarding them because they didn't answer the specific question I made.

How did I disregard you, I'm still answering to everything you say along with bringing other stuff back that you didn't answer, you aren't obliged to do anything I ask you too. And you call me paranoid, YOU chill down, holy crap

Or maybe, just maybe, having one piercing is different from having a whole part of your body tattooed or pierced?... Maybe he thinks one is different from the other?
Welcome to 2014, prejudice exists, what else do you not know about the present days?
we've established its prejudice then. are you implying prejudice existing justifies its continuance? what are you trying to say other than reiterating a problem i already pointed out? beside the point, ive done nothing to deserve this condescending tone
Yes
Do you ever say anything that isn't wrong
Jesus didn't have tattoos so they must be the work of the devil. :v:
i probably wouldn't date somebody with tattoos unless it's something really clever and barely visible like putting a super tiny paragraph of text between your ass cheeks because i think they look bad same with piercings, except there it's more that just thinking about piercings makes me shudder [editline]22nd October 2014[/editline]
can you elaborate on what kind of people get a tattoo
people with bad taste

I'm trying to say that its not something fixed over night, or something thats only about prejudice.
Where are you getting that? I'm trying to say that its not something fixed over night, or something thats only about prejudice.
the condescension? you told me the year and asked me what else of society im unaware of
When someone says bodymods is against their principles and then say it's okay to have them is contradicting. What's there to understand lol
I don't like body mods, but it's not my right to stop others from getting them. It's not a black-and-white thing where if someone has one tiny piercing or tattoo, I suddenly disassociate them from my life. I can tolerate small ones here and there, but if they cover an entire limb, that's when I really start questioning their judgement.

Because that's where the issue lies on. What's with the condescending tone too? Take your own advice and chill out.

I don't understand. Judgement of what. Why does it matter if a person chooses to get a lot of tattoo work done? Does it harm you in any way shape or form?
It means we have a difference in opinions which probably wouldn't lead to a good friendship. You guys are blowing it out of proportion.
It's pretty much impossible to have a 100% agreement on all opinions with any one person. So I fail to see how someone having a Tattoo. Would be a valid catalyst for that assumption. By your logic. ANYONE that disagrees with you about ANYTHING would suddenly mean you don't have a good friendship...what?
I think tattoo's are alright for the most part. Personally, I don't see the appeal in body piercings, but if people don't go way overboard on them, I don't mind that much. basically, tats and pierces are a-ok, just don't go crazy with em'.

We're just interested in different things which I have a strong feeling for. You exaggerate everything I say to their extreme.
It means we have a difference in opinions which probably wouldn't lead to a good friendship.
In a conversation pertaining to a persons choice of tattoo's and piercings. So by your own logic and words. Having a difference of opinion or support for one specific subject with you would make you believe that you wouldn't have a good friendship with said person. I'm literally going by what you are saying.
My teachers had plenty of tattoos, this seems so stupid
My middle school art teacher had tattoos and piercings, don't see what the big deal is. He was also a dick, which is a good way to show the kids that tattoos don't necessarily make you cool.
Yeah, fucking idiots who want to self express in a way they see fit that harms no one other than my delicate sensibilities
no one who can employ you gives a shit about your stupid self expression
Do you know the difference between having one and not having one? Because that's where the issue lies on. What's with the condescending tone too? Take your own advice and chill out.
It isn't as simple as having one or not having one lol.
It's not like there is tattoo coverage makeup that they could just insist she wear instead of outright firing her, oh, wait, that is a thing that exists.
-nvm- as long as she covers up and keeps the piercings off her face still you shouldn't go into a field with known dress codes and wonder why you can't get a job because of your lack of conforming to the dress code
How about people need to relax about tattoos. Unless it's vulgar it shouldn't matter.
How about people need to relax about tattoos. Unless it's vulgar it shouldn't matter.
It always matter, everything about your image matters whether you like it or not. What you wear, what you put on your skin, how you treat yourself always matter and it has mattered for a really long time. e.g. having a really fat and unkempt guy can give the impression of someone who doesn't care about image and therefor wouldn't be good for a public relations job, but it wouldn't be as important for an office job.
Tattoos really are getting to be a more and more common thing, and eventually it's going to be useless firing somebody over it, because the next person will have them too. I don't see why people even bother with it in the first place. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
no one who can employ you gives a shit about your stupid self expression
Apparently they do. That's why people are getting fired over it.
Showing tattoos or piercings has never been welcome in a professional environment, how can people still not understand this?
Showing tattoos or piercings has never been welcome in a professional environment, how can people still not understand this?
I'm more surprised people still don't understand that tattoos and piercings don't matter as much as they seem to think they do. It's like they WANT it to matter when they actually don't.
So someone was fired for not looking professional, I fail to see the problem in a skill based job such as this. Most employers won't finish the interview if you have a visible tattoo, and generally this stuff is covered in the rules and documents you sign on to get hired about the rules they have regarding stuff like this. Seriously, this isn't a hard thing to realize that most professions that are customer facing want you to look professional.
