I'm probably going to wait a while for a price drop and a better selection of games.
I'm not really sold on it tbh Most of the exclusives are platformers, and Bayonetta 2 is probably a timed exclusive [editline]16th September 2012[/editline] Not that I have anything against console platformers, but I already have a 360 and a PC so it's not very tempting for me right now
So is this going to be like the Wii where everyone hypes it up and pre-orders the fuck out of it, then 6 months later says how average it is?
I just wants SSB4 to come out
So is this going to be like the Wii where everyone hypes it up and pre-orders the fuck out of it, then 6 months later says how average it is?
If you're a "hardcore" gamer you shouldn't really even be considering buying a Wii. However, the people who just like to play for a couple of hours a day sitting on the couch will still enjoy the Wii even after 6 months.
So is this going to be like the Wii where everyone hypes it up and pre-orders the fuck out of it, then 6 months later says how average it is?
I don't think so. It looks like Nintendo is letting hardcore games into their new console this time around where as the Wii was much more casual. The Wii U has much more selection of games most of us have been waiting for (Pikmin 3? HELLO!) and some new titles that to me seem rather interesting.
I was pretty skeptical of the new NSMB game for the WiiU, but I here it's going to be one huge map with lots of secret areas like Super Mario World.
well now i'm really sad, i went to gamestop and they had no deluxe editions and were trying to pressure me into a regular, but i don't WANT a regular i want the cool black one ;( so i'm going to have to wait a long time now, there goes my first launch console idea :( i'll be biding my time and saving up
I never completely understood this and I'm too lazy to look it up right now, can you play a full game on the controller itself as long as the console is on? So when someone's watching TV you can still play?
I wonder when there will be a Dolphin U
Bayonetta 2 is probably a timed exclusive
it's published by nintendo.
No matter how much I hear about 'amazing graphics' and 'hardcore gaming' I can't take the Wii seriously after all that 3rd party bullshit. I don't hate Nintendo, but just hearing the word Wii automatically puts bad thoughts in my head.
Nintendo know's I'll buy a wiiU just for the first party games. I'd probably buy one just for Zelda, and hope for other good games
Some people are addicted to Apple products, some people are addicted to Nintendo products. (me)
sears is now sold out of wii u models, both basic and deluxe. Along with Toys R Us. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/17/wii-u-pre-orders-selling-out-across-us
it's published by nintendo.
Yeah, but shafting people who played the original is incredibly stupid I don't think Nintendo is dumb enough to do that [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] It'll boost WiiU sales a bit initially, but the smart move would be to port it a few months after release
Yeah, but shafting people who played the original is incredibly stupid I don't think Nintendo is dumb enough to do that
They didn't shaft anyone. Bayonetta 2 was going to be canceled if nintendo didn't step in. This tends to help the fans then hurt them but everyones taking it entirely wrong.

No one else wanted it. Don't bitch about stuff you don't know.
Only a matter of time before I see an overabundance of them in our pawnshop, just like the Kinects...oh god the Kinects..

Don't bitch about stuff you don't know.
Nintendo "saving" Bayonetta 2 isn't anything more than rumors If they truly had, then Tatsuya probably would have stated so in his PR statement [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] Denying a port is just disappointing to fans who don't want to buy a WiiU, in any case Timed exclusive would make them happy and make a quite a bit of money as well I don't really care, since I never played the original nor do I intend on buying a WiiU

You're right, sorry I forgot that I can't discuss my opinions on a forum without taking a side
I don't really care, since I never played the original nor do I intend on buying a WiiU
Then why the fuck did you complain about it in the first place?
Then why the fuck did you complain about it in the first place?
I don't care enough to write death threats to Nintendo I just see why some people might be upset, and stated why cutting profits simply for exclusivity is a bad move
I just see why some people might be upset, and stated why cutting profits simply for exclusivity is a bad move
it wouldn't be exclusive if someone that wasn't nintendo published it. the problem is there was no publisher that wanted to touch it. SEGA is going though hell right now from falling profits and focusing only on their big IPs from now on.
I don't care enough to write death threats to Nintendo I just see why some people might be upset, and stated why cutting profits simply for exclusivity is a bad move
"Bayonetta is a brand that we want to see become stronger, reaching the hands of more and more gamers, so we have continued to consult with SEGA, the previous game’s publisher, on how we can make sure this takes place. Our answer was a new partnership with Nintendo." "In reality, Bayonetta 2 was never properly green-lit at Sega and was already rumored to be canceled before getting a proper announcement. Due to the shift in the market and moderate sales of the first game, Sega just wasn't keen on risking the investment into a sequel that may not have turned them a profit. Hence, Nintendo stepped in and Platinum Games gets to bring the doomed sequel to at least one console. They are literally the ones who wanted it. As I have stated before. It's not a marketing ploy. Nintendo isn't out to get us. They are simply the only ones who wanted it and as such, no one else is going to have it. Don't like it? Take it up with Sega.
