I think it's funny how you have that Lost guy in your avatar and your an assburger. And I just realised, penis sausage :D
There's a kid with Aspergers at my school. He's really intelligent but isn't very social.

Good thing I have aspergers :psypop:
There's a kid with Aspergers at my school. He's really intelligent but isn't very social.
Like me :saddowns: [editline]04:17AM[/editline]
thats the best kind of sausage
Oh god your avatar :ohdear:
you mean nothing is lost except for social skills
Social skills are never gained, it's something that the hardware in their brains aren't made for. Normal people have entire sections of their brain dedicated to face recognition, these guys can instead memorise the phone book. I'd say it's a reasonable tradeoff.
Did I claim to have aspergers?
No, it's just really obvious. Aspies be raging.
No, it's just really obvious. Aspies be raging.
Then maybe I should get tested. (It runs in families right?)
My dad works for Nintendo and you 100% have Asperger.
These people are nothing more than benchmarks for the human mind, for a SINGLE subject or activity.
actually he's incredibly at maths and any memory stuff as well
MAYBE it is a reasonable tradeoff or maybe not but i dunno I'd rather remember someone than remember a bunch a phone numbers who i have no clue who they are except for their name unless they're one of those prank caller folks
They can recognise different people and with training, can recognise facial expressions. Most Aspergers people have a different mindset about the people around them but still prefer knowing what is going on to being retarded. High functionisg Aspergers only makes you shy but plenty of people are shy without having it so it's not that big of difference.
Then maybe I should get tested. (It runs in families right?)
I think I read somewhere that there is a higher chance of another child having autism if another also has it, but it's still only 1 in 10. I don't know about inheriting it because there's not a lot known about the causes of it and they didn't really let people with autism breed in older times so it's hard to find a good case. Autism isn't as clear cut as other disorders, there's not really a definitive way to test and it's possible to exhibit symptoms of it without actually having it. If you can recognise facial expressions (not extremely well because teenagers aren't as good at this either), have no problem looking someone in the eye and don't feel pain when other people touch you, you are probably ok.

From what i've heard and i'm not trolling here, Icelandic is the closest to the actual language which Vikings spoke.
He's just mashing words together and making gibberish to sound Icelandic. Like that volcano elsadkljdgkldjfsas.

Did you even watch the video? He was on national TV (Iceland)... Or are you being sarcastic?
You're both right, Icelandish is nothing but funny sounding gibberish they make up on the fly.
Story's only popped up recently because ABC did a piece recently covering humans who can achieve extraordinary feats. Savants, people with physical feats, child prodigies, etc.
Savants are so extremely interesting. I wish I could comprehend synesthesia.
This guy needs to fuck like a rabbit and then suddenly master race.
This news is complete copied bullshit. He's a savant, he doesn't have aspbergers, and this is literally 5 year old news stolen and put on a US news website, did they really have no better news than something old and then they modified the facts?
I saw this about 3 years ago on TV :colbert:
I doubt he's got aspergers, seems alot more like Savant syndrome.
Durrrr, and you make that diagnosis based on what level of qualification? :downs: Aspergers and other Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD's) can all walk hand in hand with the subject being a savant and 50% of all savant syndrome subjects have an ASD. The other 50% always have some other form of developmental or brain disorder. Savant syndrome is not a standalone condition. [editline]11:53AM[/editline]
From what i've heard and i'm not trolling here, Icelandic is the closest to the actual language which Vikings spoke.
It's almost identical to old west norse.
Icelandic has a lot in common with Old English.
Moreso Old Norse
These people are nothing more than benchmarks for the human mind, for a SINGLE subject or activity.
Feeling impotent are we? You can't admit that it requires much more intelligence than any of us have to do something like that. And it isn't a single subject; this guy does quite a bit of different things.
Perhaps Aspergers isn't a disorder, but the next step in our development as a species.
Perhaps Aspergers isn't a disorder, but the next step in our development as a species.
Some studies show that Aspergers is caused by unusualy high levels of testosterone while in the womb, meaning Aspergers is a very manly disorder and with enough testosterone, you can be as smart as rain man.
I'm Swedish and I understood everything they said in that ending interview snippet.

This is good maybe now he can go an tell they're volcanoes to politely fuck off, then tell us about it in english and pronounce the name of it right...... heres looking at you BBC NEWS!
