Okay wow i assumed the reason her name was synonymous with Satan on the net atm had something to do with the current "Sjw!!" memes that everyone finds so funny, but that first tweet is super wrong. you can't just dismiss any sexism a man might face on the grounds that women have it worse. Holy shit that's exactly the same dumb line of thinking as "black people can't be racist".
I'm fairly certain FemFreq's producer, Jonathan McIntosh, who is a certified wackjob, is behind that Twitter account.
It's interesting how you people shit over literally anything involving societal issues about sex/gender/etc. Get the fuck over yourselves.
I think tweeting about sexism is the worst thing you can do, just going off statistics. Pretty much everyone targeted by harassment was done so because they plopped their big fat opinions on the table over twitter. If you want to talk about sexism and feminism and all that stuff, maybe grow up and have some actual human conversations with people instead of belting out snarky comments.
I really don't get how these people expect sexism to disappear just by shit talking the opposite gender. All they're doing is taking steps backward and getting people to white knight for them, and expect change.
It's interesting how you people shit over literally anything involving societal issues about sex/gender/etc. Get the fuck over yourselves.
I wish people who spew half-baked ideas and think they know how everything works in their early 20s would get over themselves, but as long as the Dunning–Kruger effect still exists that won't happen. The only way anything positive will happen on social issues is with informed dialogue, and while people think venting onto Twitter is sufficient nothing good will come. If you actually cared about the social issues you would be shitting over things that hinder it too.
Well did you get the overarching philosophical reasoning behind his retort?
oh yeah, the philosophical reasoning behind what amounts to a mad lib. there's no such thing as COMMUNISM against GOBLINS. gee, i didn't know that a poorly written tweet about systematic sexism would be wacky if you changed a few words to make it about the holocaust. is this tweet a super cool great breakthrough in gender-related philosophy? no. not at all, lol. it's written so horribly that people think it's somehow an attack on men and junk, which it isn't. if you dig a bit past the surface level, you'd see that the creator means to say that the cultural, institutionalized & systematic sexism against women has a much more significant effect than what men go through. pretty deep tho. like, i was super grasping at straws when i tried to figure it out for the first time. if i had to rewrite the tweet, i'd focus more on society's perception of gender and the sexism that is embedded into our cultures/societies rather than the weird sexism-binary the tweet writer decided to go with.
Hmm, so interpreting the tweet without digging past the surface level leads one to think that she is saying preposterous things. How do I know your grasping at straws is what she really meant? I mean besides the fact that she acts as spokesperson for feminism, she has a university degree (I believe in women studies or something), should she not be well versed enough to state her opinion clearly? I'm not sure what content you've seen of her, but the surface level interpretation fits her narrative in other tweets, her videos and public appearances like a glove.

Arguments are stated, not implied.
Well, it's certainly good for their financial well being if Anita Sarkeesian is anything to go by. She's been crying all the way to the bank.

If you claim discrimination of a certain demographic can't exist because they're in a position of power and all it takes for you to sound like a Nazi apologist is to change said demographic, you should probably reconsider your stance.

https://twitter.com/jamieroling/status/561607250553634816 The point is, while condemning a group of people, if your words can make you sound like a nazi by just changing the name of the demographic you are attacking to Jews, you probably shouldn't be saying it at all.

There was something from them a while back about how society's harmful views on masculinity are a cause of school shootings- Men are expected to be stoic, strong, and solve their own problems, men are judged much more harshly for being unable to cope with emotional problems than women are. if the problem/fear of seeking help and appearing weak/being told to fuck off and man up when you do seek help- is bad enough, i can see how it would factor into someone going nuts and shooting people. However the way the tweet was worded was so blunt and relied so heavily on knowing what certain terms mean, that to the average dude on the internet, someone who has only ever heard what feminism is from shitty internet memes about "talking to a girl being rape, this is feminism omg!", it just said "Wow fucking men killing people again! just liek those violent men ammirite guys!"

No matter how you look at it, claiming that sexism against men doesn't exist is far from being reasonable and you can't construe it as something that is.

So posting in STGYM makes you feel better. No shit, Sherlock. Thanks for giving out common knowledge.
I'm actually quite confused, she said that it's sexism for one to deny or dismiss the fact that sexism runs rampant in society. I'm pretty sure that's called being ignorant? Or unless I'm wrong now. Actually no, that doesn't make sense. It would've made more sense if she said "those who support or don't mind sexism are the worst. As that is a form of sexism." And may I address, that there is such thing as sexism towards men, but she denies that! So by her own definition, she's sexist. What a dumb fuck. These are the type of feminists I don't like.
