Britain could remain in EU as London ‘has no idea’ how to leave – John Kerry
Considering the French Finance Minister broke ranks, they will.
The French finance minister is a meaningless piss-ant.
Every government has a few retards in it. Hell, I could walk into the Finnish parliament during a full session and point out at least a few dozen idiots, right on the spot.
They knew what would happen if the people chose to leave. There no chance, leaving the EU, full steam ahead.
All Hail Britannia.
I noticed Farage has this stance. He realises he's got an opportunity and wants to get it acted upon quickly before that slim majority realise just how much of a bad decision it was.

It's not even about being a 'retard', it basically shows up the backroom discussions the French have been having, like all the EU governments will be having right now.

Slim majority or not, he doesn't want a new government, or the EU interfering in the referendum. But if there was interference and the referendum was not passed and article 50 wasn't invoked, I wouldn't actually want to imagine that situation right now, you thought Brexit was bad, that situation would be infinitely worse.
Councillor - You can't directly vote them out because they are you head of state. Ie same power as your own country does.
MEP - You directly elect your constituency's MEP. You can do a vote of no confidence for them to step down - Not sure how this works in your country but in the UK its the same as our normal MPs.
Commissioner - You don't directly elect your commissioner but your head of state (representative on the council) puts them forward - this is rather the same as unelected ministers in your own government.
Unless belgium has some direct democracy model (which it doesnt) the system in the EU isn't far from the system you and I have in our own countries. You elect a representative then suck it up if they make rules you don't like.
Sovereignty is a buzzword with no real meaning. Like when people say the EU is dictatorial, it isn't really but its a word with more feeling than meaning in that context.
The main problem in my eyes with the EU is that MEPs cannot propose new laws or attempt to repeal existing ones like an MP can. I think this is the reason a lot of people feel that the EU is undemocratic.

Your MEP can go to your commissioner who will then propose/attempt to repeal the law.
It's adding an extra step to the process when compared to local government but if MEP were suggesting new laws parliamentary sessions would last weeks.
All this said France, Germany and the UK were working towards reforming the Commission and giving it less power. So many complaints about that could have been dealt with by staying in anyway.
Way I see it the government is going to delay article 50 for so long it'll become some funny meme like how Russia and Japan were technically at war for years after WW2.

I'm okay with this.

Fly out to DC and you'll find 536 of them.
FTSE250 has now also recovered to the pre-Brexit level. I should note though that most people who know about economics will tell you that stock markets aren't very reliable indicators of economic performance. For example, the FTSE is massively inflated right now because of QE inflating asset prices, not because of good economic performance of the companies within it. Similarly, the reduction in the value of the Sterling is not strictly a bad thing. I have argued for some time our currency is overvalued given our 5% CA deficit but there are obviously disadvantage to consumers in this. The reality will come in how the negotiations play out and how it affects economic growth, which I view (alongside unemployment and inflation) as the only indicators that matter.

The billions are back so at least project drama queens has abated a bit.
Gove's hated experts cannot predict how these negotiations will play out, nobody can as the permutations are too great.
I'm off to Malta tomorrow and being as I pay for my accommodation when I get there and that I only have about 200 euros now means my holiday will be costing about £150 more now than before the Brexit, a small price to pay for my kids future though.

How will it benefit your kids future again?
How will it benefit your kids future again?
they'll be more free
whatever the fuck that means
How will it benefit your kids future again?
Not sure who would protect your rights in a superstate. Better to have sovereignty of your own country tbh.

I hope so to be honest, I wish the British Empire rolled over the world again because it would probably be a better place. Even giving back Hong Kong was a mistake.
All Hail Britannia.

The EU isn't a superstate.

Nope, I'm from one of its colonies.
The EU isn't a superstate.
Not Yet. All the fiscal policy push says a lot.
Nope, I'm from one of its colonies.
If EU is a superstate then I am Gabe Newell.

And guys ignore Boilrig and karl they're fools no matter how many times you explain to them they keeps going with sovereignity argument which is bullshit because uk doesn't gain any sovereignity.

That EU is pushing to become a federal state is only because of what happened, so I know this.
But saying that EU will be a superstate that doesn't give any right...

holy shit are you actually, genuinely for real now?
the British Empire, while it did some good for some people (see:British people), it was built on the back of conquest, essentially marching into someone else's land and telling them it's ours now. The British Empire had an absolutely horrendous human rights record
it says a lot about how much research you do that you consider the British Empire a dandy-do thing.
besides, we don't have the military power, so it's not going to ever happen in our lifetime, because nobody cares for conquest and empires any more. i don't even care if this is some far-fetched fantasy dream of yours, its a dream which shows your extreme lack of understanding and promotes the atrocities committed by the British Empire in the name of our ""sovereignty""

You sound really confident there. Do you not think there's even a chance that this will fuck the U.K., and your kids will resent you more than this generation resents the Baby Boomers?
Saying you did it for your kids future is kind of odd when no one has given any serious net positives of being outside of the EU. It's all speculative things that might happen

oh so you're mentally unstable, that makes a lot more sense now
Even giving back Hong Kong was a mistake.
Would you rather have the People's Liberation Army invade Hong Kong just because you didn't want to give it back?
Nope, I'm from one of its colonies.
I really don't see your point? I'm also from a former british colony, I can even directly trace my ancestry back to the UK. That doesn't mean I'm British.

why is a country that treats it's poor like literal fucking dirt a good thing? why should the UK spread it's unique form of classism?
Nope, I'm from one of its colonies.
Yeah, the one that was used as a dumping ground for convicts in the 18th and 19th centuries.
You're not British lol. The Empire is dead, and it's never coming back.
The British Empire ended on a (relatively) high note. I don't see what's the point to restarting it when the British Empire has left the best legacy an empire can leave: It willingly dismantled itself in a fairly humane and peaceful manner unlike virtually every other empire in history.

One of reason we dismantled it was because it was no longer viable or profitable anymore.
Boilrig, ask putin how well playing Tsar in the Ukraine went for him. Oh right, he got his ass kicked for very little gain. Playing the imperialist in the 21st century is fucking stupid.
