Republican candidates are always grandpas
but instead of being the drunk grandpa that rants about the "spics and niggers" taking his jobs ron paul is the nice grandpa that always has cool stories to tell you and lets you play with his nose hair
Republican candidates are always grandpas
Carter wasn't exactly young :v:
no thanks I'd rather not have a president who's against civil rights, gay marriage, etc.
He's not. He's said many times that although he doesn't agree with the issue of abortion, he wouldn't impose his views on the people. He would instead leave it to the states to figure out that dilemma. The same goes for gay marriage. People need to stop saying that he's going to be a bible waving nut like Rick Perry. He may be a christian/creationist, but it seems to me that he's the only Republican candidate that doesn't want to impose his religious views on everyone else, and even though I'm for gay marriage, a woman's right to choose, etc, I still respect the man and would much rather see him in office than Obama for another term. Also, I don't have a wealth of knowledge on politics, but it seems to me that letting states figure out their own social policies and leaving the problem of the economy and foreign relations to the federal government is a smart move.
And then tells you bedtime stories about how the evil Federal Reserve was overcome by the great knight Ron Paul.
dude now i wanna vote ron paul. a man who will always check under the nation's bed for monsters and always leaves the night light on.
Romney did good in Mass, he knows his economy shit and that's what we need. In before people hating on republicans based on the crazy ones.
i think the reason everyone on facepunch loves ron paul so much is because most facepunchers are under the age of 20 and ron paul reminds them of their grandpa.
I resent that. My grandfather had a beard.
Mitt Romney is essentially a corporate robot, I'd prefer Jon Huntsman to him.
I'd prefer anyone than Ron Paul who seems to think states can't do anything wrong, which historically has been shown that all they do is wrong.
Romney did good in Mass, he knows his economy shit and that's what we need. He wants to steal what isn't ours.
I don't know how a single U.S. citizen can back most of these people. Let alone enough people to make them a viable candidate for the fucking presidency. The fuck 'merica. The fuck.
I don't know how a single U.S. citizen can back most of these people. Let alone enough people to make them a viable candidate for the fucking presidency. The fuck 'merica. The fuck.
That's because you're Canadian :v:
I don't know how a single U.S. citizen can back most of these people. Let alone enough people to make them a viable candidate for the fucking presidency. The fuck 'merica.
Also, I don't have a wealth of knowledge on politics, but it seems to me that letting states figure out their own social policies and leaving the problem of the economy and foreign relations to the federal government is a smart move.
Will someone please explain why state's rights is a good idea for social policy? It didn't work in the Civil War, didn't work for gay marriage, certainly didn't work for abortion, so why does anyone think it's smart?
We need to raise Ronald Reagan from the dead
I don't mean to sound like I'm calling you out or anything, but what exactly has Obama done or failed to do that warrants hatred? I'm honestly curious because I always hear people bashing him.
I don't mean to sound like I'm calling you out or anything, but what exactly has Obama done or failed to do that warrants hatred? I'm honestly curious because I always hear people bashing him.
He's failed to tackle the economic recession effectively.
He's failed to tackle the economic recession effectively.
He's not exactly in the most ideal spot to actually do anything :v: He never was.
He's not exactly in the most ideal spot to actually do anything :v: He never was.
As if voters care.
As if voters care.
Even if uninformed voters don't care, you should. [editline]24th August 2011[/editline]
He's failed to tackle the economic recession effectively.
Yeah, and further deregulation of the economy ala Ron Paul, or removal of the income tax ala Rick Perry will do far worse than any allegedly failed stimulus.
Even if uninformed voters don't care, you should.
I never said I didn't. I was explaining why people don't like Obama. I never once said whether it was fair or correct.
I don't know how a single U.S. citizen can back most of these people. Let alone enough people to make them a viable candidate for the fucking presidency. The fuck 'merica. The fuck.
yeah well i also hear a lot of canadians complaining that the king or whatever isnt the brightest guy either
Even if uninformed voters don't care, you should. [editline]24th August 2011[/editline] Yeah, and further deregulation of the economy ala Ron Paul, or removal of the income tax ala Rick Perry will do far worse than any allegedly failed stimulus.
When it comes to the Stimulus, Pennsylvania's old Govenerer said it best. The stimulus didn't seem to make a change because it was designed to give states a chance to keep things as the status quote so it didn't change for the worse. It was used to prevent massive layoffs first before being used for infrastructure. Which is true because we can now see those massive layoffs happening because a lot of states didn't use their money effectively.
I don't know how a single U.S. citizen can back most of these people. Let alone enough people to make them a viable candidate for the fucking presidency. The fuck 'merica. The fuck.
It's almost as though people have varying political positions. Crazy, I know.
Honestly, no one is really doing a fabulous job in the politics at the moment. But god dammit if I'm going to see someone like Michelle Bachmann go into office. If these are the candidates, then keep Obama in office.
I gotta agree with you. Might as well have Obama ride this thing all the way into the ground.
It's almost as though people have varying political positions. Crazy, I know.
I understand that, but positions like "gays are satan" are pretty indefensible.
He's not exactly in the most ideal spot to actually do anything :v: He never was.
January 20th 2009 to January 20th 2011 he had full control of both houses of Congress. He could have passed any legislation he wanted to, and the Republicans wouldn't have been able to stop it. He is spineless.
yeah man how dare he not push through as much of his own legislation as possible and try to give the other side a fair shake
But he blames them for it. He blames them because he doesn't have the testicular fortitude to go over them on things that he genuinely (?) believes will help the country.
yeah man how dare he not push through as much of his own legislation as possible and try to give the other side a fair shake
It's amazing how people bitch about Republicans not knowing what's right about in this world yet when the Obama has the ability to sidestep them, you claim that he's giving these ignorant, self-centered, greedy, spawns-of-satan bastards a "fair shake"?
