I don't have any respect for geopolitical borders.
Not all military jobs are physically intensive. Not saying she should join the military though

Most jobs aren't, but training is.
People here are overreacting. She was not fired. She was going to be put on paid leave. She resigned rather then going on leave.
She had options here and for some reason she choose what is IMO the worst one by resigning.

Figueroa, 42, was forced to resign or be fired. Under Arizona law, an undocumented immigrant cannot be a peace officer.

Can there be a special provision in the lawmaking system for common fucking sense? This isn't the most prominent example, but there are so many cases of dumb shit happening because somebody was overly anal about following a law regardless of reality.
It's either have a super strict law system that's concrete where common sense isn't a factor so stupid bullshit happens, or a law that's pliable and can be manipulated by corruption and conflicts of interest. Here in the western world, we have a nice sweet spot where both of those things happen. Sometimes at once.
Good, now we have more room to hire cops that shove dogs through people's windows.
So I have to wonder this, how in the hell did she go this long without being found out?
How did she get a driver's license?
How was she able to get into school?
How did she get an SS number?
How was she able to pass the background check?
How was she not caught when she did the I-9 that all government employees are required to fill out?
I mean, I hope they'll let her stay and expedite her citizenship application, clearly she's a deserving person.
Meanwhile, someone slams a guy's skull against a wall and lies about it on a report, then gets paid leave.
