I've never played anything besides Skyrim, I found Skyrim to be a snorefest, and I seriously want this because of how nice it looks
Why are they selling Arena and Daggerfall if those games are free on their website anyway (atleast, they were at one point)? Seems silly to me.
I think it's more about having a physical CD than having the actual game.
Just wait for The Elder Scrolls VI to come out and everyone who purchased this will cry.
its not "shit", its just old as fuck and not as appealing.
I actually like the game more than I let on the first person perspective is ambitious, as well as the hugeness of the world, and the amount of class customization while not for me certainly must appeal to a lot of people and for the time it certainly is pretty damn big a game. Plus, I found it really really cool how the game laid out the framework for Tamriel, and most locations have been preserved, to my knowledge. In particular, I loved how in Skyrim the country all the cities that were there are still there in Skyrim the game, and in the same spots maybe I'm just playing it wrong but for me, the game is just too damn hard though, and not in a good way I picked a barbarian because they had the most health, so maybe I should've gone with a different class and everything would be sunshine and rainbows, but I've found that the literal most efficient way of leveling up to stand even a chance to any of the monsters in the quest dungeons you have to go to is to go to a random dungeon, find a corner, save, wait (this spawns enemies) then kill them, save, repeat until you've gained numerous levels it's grind so ludicrous and boring that it makes all MMOs seem way way better and I tried the quests, I did, but there's like 5 kinds and it just becomes slower grinding if the game was much kinder to you and you didn't have to spend eons grinding to be able to face the challenges the game throws at you I'd be much much kinder to it
I'd love to purchase it just to have it and be able to try the first three games, but money isn't flowing and I already own Oblivion and Skyrim and haven't finished either so I don't really see it as a worthwhile investment.

Arena would be bearable if it had the mouse view option that Daggerfall had. The cursor view is just too difficult to use.
Why are they selling Arena and Daggerfall if those games are free on their website anyway (atleast, they were at one point)? Seems silly to me.
Because it's neat to have them included in the box.
Is this on Steam as well?
How can this be a legit collection without soundtracks and making ofs?
As long as you won't have to use dosbox for the first two, I'll buy. [editline]2nd August 2013[/editline] Oh and why are there 4 discs for Morrowind? I understand first and last two. But what's with disc 2?
Fuck me, my nipples just go so solid after reading this that I knocked over my monitor.

It contains loads of the games assets so you don't have to decompress the game BSA to get them.
omg i'm buying this for the map of morrowind alone

Works wonderfully, and the daggerfall one even installs a special dos memory extender that prevents a lot of bugs and crashes that would happen without it. Plus this way you don't need to fiddle about with setting up dosbox configs for an hour. Unless you want to.

5 maps? Fuck yea, buying.

They should include all of the mods you'll need to make the games playable.
They should include all of the mods you'll need to make the games playable.
If it's for Skyrim, that'll be another disk.
don't need it... I got all the games and most of the some of the dlc's, no need to re buy everything...
I'm thinking about getting this even though I have 1, 3, 4 and 5 because the Elder Scrolls series is pretty damn cool and I love getting anthologies of shit. Only disappointing thing is that Skyrim is going to require Steam and I'm guessing the rest will activate on Steam as well. If it's a collectors thing I want to be able to blow the dust off of it and play it down the line but there's no guarantee Steam will still be around when that happens.
Only disappointing thing is that Skyrim is going to require Steam and I'm guessing the rest will activate on Steam as well.
There'd really be no fucking point in making Arena or Daggerfall have steam integrations. There are fucking songs larger than those games.
Most impressive pile of boring games without actual gameplay which I have ever seen!
That explains the last 2 FUCKING YEARS I've spent playing skyrim.
I really liked how in Daggerfall you could adjust your tone in your responses, if you were proper, casual or rude.
That explains the last 2 FUCKING YEARS I've spent playing skyrim.
Skyrim's pretty repetitive (although fun) but it doesn't have much replay value, what have you been doing on it for the 2 years it hasn't been out for?
It annoys me how repetitive Skyrim is, especially the dungeons. Daggerfall (and Arena) was repetitive in similar ways, but there were a multitude of different dungeon looks, and all different sizes for dungeons ranging from extremely small (graveyard) to labyrinthian. Skyrim literally has 3 different dungeon looks in the main game, and a majority of them (not all, but certainly a lot) have only 1 path to the goal so their minute differences in layout barely make a difference, unliike dungeons in the other games. Hell, even the supposedly streamlined oblivion had more complex dungeon layouts then Skyrim. EDIT: I look up the word labyrinthian and turns out it's a skyrim dungeon what the fuck.
well, looks like i'm buying morrowind for the 4th time, oblivion for the 3rd, and skyrim for the second. Completely worth it IMO.
