There are two or three mangas that are okay in my eyes: Trigun (simply because I grew up with it and I'm a sucker for Science Fiction / westerns), and two seinens I happened across about post World War three united states (was seinen directed at the older generations) regardless, while there may be exceptions, as stated before what everyone says is correct anime is full of bullshit and you're going to be laughed at if you don't grow up go ahead, I encourage you to talk to any well educated professor about manga and he'll not only laugh at you for still reading comic books well into your twenties but then he'll laugh even harder for them being japanese comic books, as if you feel you're so estranged from your own culture that you have to run off to some other culture that will never ever apply to you or ever accept you

You're sterotypeing everyone who watches anime. I actually don't watch it but i highly doubt that everyone who does has issuse with there own culture, they watch it becuase they like the action or story like any other show. You are probably right in a few cases but not all of them.

I wish the Halo anime looked as bad ass as Iron Man does, Wolverine is just bleh.

But that's not all anime/manga. I have the Trigun mangas, which I can't follow so I never finished, Berserk, Hellsing (only 3 volumes of that), and that's it. And I've seen a few like Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell that were decent.
